yeah sara, i think it is kind of sadistic. i've been working on this since 11 and still have 2 sections left. blah. when is the care plan due? you should go to bed, don't make yourself sick over it :(

i'm finally feeling better, after lying in bed all day kinda of crying and feeling sorry for myself. it felt like i had a throat full of fire and razorblades till recently, but the worst seems to be over, and i managed to follow down some pills so now my aches have eased off. the worst part was that my jaw and sinuses and ears were in terrible pain.

i watched half of the third season of 'lost' last night, because i didn't want to fall asleep, knowing how much worse i'd feel in the moring. i have a question: how does kate do all that running round without a bra? it must really hurt her boobs.

argh i am on a trick question right now which is making me think i should sleep and evaluate it again in the morning. he always puts in these tricky little things that make you question EVERYTHING you are doing.

yeah sometimes she has a bra, but sometimes she has this obviously-braless top on. i hate her too because she's so goddamn perfect looking.

i think i took getting sick to heart particularly because i haven't been sick in such a long time, so i'd forgotten how bad it can be. but i really am feeling heaps better already, and now i'm going to watch the rest of 'lost'!

I managed to continue my sequence of dislocating my shoulder while doing really innocuous things this weekend - it popped out while I was stretching my calves. It joins "turning a steering wheel", "jumping", "turning over in my sleep", and "sitting down" in the pantheon of "dumb ways my shoulder and its socket keep separating".

clearly you and your shoulder are not meant to be together. i don't like the idea of body parts "popping out".

xpost I am up again, but going back to sleep. Care plan is due Tuesday at noon. It's about 25 pages worth of writing/work, so far as I can make out (the best part is that I have to cite sources for stuff from nursing books - so backing up stuff with citation is important).

No wait, the best part is depriving us of sleep all weekend and expecting us to write 25 or so pages that fast on no sleep. Sorry; I'm old and cannot function this way. HOWEVER, I enjoyed the patient care part (even the VERY VERY gross, alarming parts), so it's not like I'm going to quit. This is the first time I've wanted to, and I am considering looking into how St. O and other programs do this part, because - as much as I love all the other students in the program, I don't know that I can do this many more times.

Oh, and Kate from LOST is hot, but can be an annoying character, but no one annoys like JACK. omg

Also, I would question the sanity of anyone perving on me this morning, or even complimenting me, as I am exhausted and I'm wearing ugly pajamas and I haven't had a shower yet. (I'm going to sleep more, so there's my excuse).

I don't wear rings to the hospital (don't want to carry germs under them), and I may have been flirted with my clueless men at the hospital yesterday, but I can never tell. (Still, what is hotter than an aging nursing student in ugly scrubs who is struggling with a poorly made isolation gown? HA)

And now that I've written an incoherent stream of nonsense to you all, I'm going back to sleep.

Thanks RR. I fear your faith may be misplaced, but I have to at least finish this class. Poor J just wants me to come play because she hasn't seen me much for the past 5 days, and I just can't. Plus I'm super crabby.
