HI DERE, Wednesday, 14 May 2008 01:59 (eighteen years ago)

And if you survive till two thousand and five
I hope you're exceedingly thin
For if you are stout you will have to breathe out
While the people around you breathe in

funnily enough, this is EXACTLY what happened in 2005

HI DERE, Wednesday, 14 May 2008 02:00 (eighteen years ago)

I didn't even notice, but maybe because I was thin.

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 14 May 2008 02:02 (eighteen years ago)

Thin-ish anyway.

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 14 May 2008 02:02 (eighteen years ago)

Dan, you are having so much fun listening to music and I am kind of jealous.

Important question: HOW WAS THE CURE?

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 14 May 2008 02:03 (eighteen years ago)

It really is all about the boobs with you guys, isn't it.

sara r-c otm

jergïns, Wednesday, 14 May 2008 02:05 (eighteen years ago)

The Cure was great! They had some nontrivial sound issues (2/3 of "InBetween Days" was rendered silly because the lead guitar bit that was covering the incredibly important and song-defining keyboard parts was inaudible and they had to swap out guitar cables) but overall they delivered. Their new songs were all good to great and their last encore was all Three Imaginary Boys/Boys Don't Cry-era stuff, including the three singles, "10:15 Saturday Night" and "Grinding Halt". They also played a buttload of stuff off of The Head On The Door, including "The Blood".

HI DERE, Wednesday, 14 May 2008 02:07 (eighteen years ago)

Oh that sounds so awesome, even though I know nothing of most of these songs. ENVYING YOU AGAIN

xpost Well, I have learned SOMETHING in this lifetime then!

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 14 May 2008 02:58 (eighteen years ago)

The Cure did play "Push". They seem to play "Push" all the time nowadays.

When did I see The Cure? Why, last night!
Where did I see The Cure? At the hockey arena at Boston University.
Why did they play there? Probably because it's the only 6000 seat venue in Boston with a decent sound system, otherwise they would have had to play in Worcester which is BAD NEWS in terms of travel logistics.

They played 4 songs off of their upcoming album! One of them, titled "Freakshow", is destined to be stone-cold Cure classic.

Oh, they also played "Hot! Hot! Hot!" which was awesome.

HI DERE, Wednesday, 14 May 2008 03:05 (eighteen years ago)
