if that thread was gonna get started it should not have been on crutis' board because that is a place of love and happy times (or it was supposed to be). i haven't read it so i don't know what the issue is but from the title it sounds like jon trying to be 'funny' so i can see hwy people are up in arms.

crut1s and deez i have invite and have posted there, i didn't read the alex thread cuz it had a dumb sounding title but then i accidentally came across the c/p bits of it on some other thread so i went over and read it... it's just not cool when ppl start bringing ppl's families and personal lives into shit, esp when its someone who does not deserve it in the least, and then everyone piles on and its just... awful. alex must have felt so completely shit when he came across it.

I have perfected the art of the vegetarian breakfast burrito. Secrets include: cooking your own beans, using cream when you make the scrambled eggs, Achewood hot sauce.

These are all just mild variations of recipes found in How To Cook Everything Vegetarian

Black beans:

Put a pound of black beans in a large saucepan, cover with 2-3 inches of water. Bring to a boil for 2 minutes, let sit for two hours, covered. Add healthy pinches of salt and pepper, simmer for 15-30 minutes partially covered, put however much you plan to use in three days, freeze the rest.

Refried beans:

Fry onions in oil over medium heat for about 10 minutes, add beans and mash with a fork. After they're mashed, add a different herb, and simmer until they have the consistency of proper refried beans, then reduce heat to very low.

Eggs:

Start with a cold pan, put in three eggs, a splash of cream, salt, pepper, cilantro if you're not one of those for whom it tastes like soap, another savory herb if you are. Put over medium heat, stirring constantly with a heat-resistant spatula. When parts dry out, remove from heat for a bit while stirring. Put it back on the heat, repeat until it's as done as you want it.

Burritos:

Heat tortillas in a dry pan on very low heat, add beans, eggs, and a melty white cheese. Roll, coat very lightly with butter, and cook in a pan over medium low heat until browned on both sides.

Add hot sauce and eat happily.

Different herb from the eggs, I mean.

Tastes bitchin' with a proper cup of tea with cream and sugar.

It's a little hotter and a little more garlicky, I think. It's been awhile since I've had Tapatio, though.

Regardless of any actual difference, I swear Ray telling me to "...definitely eat some!" makes it tastier.

My birthday was ace. Went out on Sat night but i tripped over a kerb and rolled my ankle, bruised the shit out of my thigh, scraped my knee and that knee has also swollen up :D

But apart from that it was fun. GF made me an awes farmyard animals cake and there is a super retarded picture of me posing with it that I may post on wdyll at some point.

i like deeznuts but i was annoyed with how he spoke to bell_labs because it sounded so misogynistic and i am sick of misogyny in the world, but i do think he has apologised sincerely and that it was no more than a terrible misfired joke. some of his jokes are pretty good but not that day. so as long as he doesn't do it again then i am fine with him.
but if he does do it again he will be dead to me.

imo it was too mean to forgive and i'm usually pretty forgiving

jergz i am a retard: i was going to post yr postcard today but i had to go hide these GPP broadsides in some books at the bookstore near my work. so i'm in there, and it's kinda busy and i'm trying to surreptitiously pick up appropriate books and slide the poems in and i was kinda nervous about being 'questioned' by the staff and i think i accidentally slipped yr postcard in with one of the broadsides :/
