i thought about posting some awesome rare vinyl albums on an ilm thread and saying that i wanted to sell them to people who cared about music, and how i need money fast, and they were all discounted, and people could battle it out for which ones they wanted (limit ten per customer), and then after a week or so coming back and saying that i didn't actually own any of the albums

i don't want to go to work today: i got into a huge screaming match with my boss last night after i told him for the hundredth time to not make derogatory jewish jokes ('hello my bf is jewish and you know it'). i told him to shut the fuck up, he told me to stop being so sensitive and get my head out of my ass, and then it basically escalated from there.

what a douche! stay home! permission: my boss actually left early yesterday because he said if he didn't he was going to kill another person in our office.

My brain thinks it is time to quit school for the year.

sara, it just got totally abusive, lots of name calling and yelling, him demanding explanations and me refusing. he was all 'have you actually asked jordan about this because i bet he wouldnt' even be offended' and i said 'go fuck yr self, its none of yr business what i've spoken to him about in regards to stupid racist jokes' and he kept insisting, and i said 'jordan's not here, I AM and i DON'T LIKE YR STUPID FUCKING JOKES'. and then he told me i was being a fucking bitch, and that there were plenty of things i say that he doesn't like and he never tells me to shut the fuck up, so i said 'well maybe you should, you goddamn sissy' and then he walked off swearing and went and complained to his whole family about me in italian because he's a goddamn sissy.

i am currently:

drinking coke zero
attempting to listen to ugly betty while typing up my business profile (wish i had dual monitors or something)
thinking about how i should have bought chocolate when i went to get toilet paper

i will:

stay up as late as possible to do as much of project as possible
try not to cry

of course there are laws, but i've been there 8yrs and they're my family practically and i'm leaving in exactly 59 days so i can't really do shit except tell him to go fuck himself. tonight, he'll either be a complete cunt (excuse my language, kids) or super nice. what annoyed me most is that he kept asking me if i was 'for real' - he thought i was just being facetious and that something else was up. but seriously: i'm protective about jordan, and he's jewish and his family is jewish, and i don't like the goddamn mean jokes and references. my boss was all 'but i've been making that joke for a year' and i was all 'yeah and i've been telling you for a year that i don't like it'.

he thinks i'm been overly sensitive (maybe i am, but that's not really the point) but he should be more goddamn sensitive. he's free to say whatever he wants, but in return i'm free to tell him to shut the fuck up.

i don't think you're being overly sensitive, i think it's ridiculous that people think it's ok to constantly throw that kind of crap at someone after being repeatedly told it makes them uncomfortable. in my law class, we would call that the creation of a hostile work environment.

Also, my Dad does this exact same thing (making totally insensitive jokes/comments about race, gender, religious stuff). I have gone from getting into huge fights with him about it to moving my kids away from it.

Also, the right side of my neck *always* hurts. I suspect it is a combination of how I hold my head while reading/at the computer and toting giant books around in a bag over my right shoulder.
