i wish you were all awake when i get home from work at night, because this is the time i feel chattiest and jordan is asleep. i wake him up to say hi, and i rattle on a bit about my night, but he's usually so out of it all he can manage is some mewling sounds and a few 'yeah?'s.

oh dear, hot, humid and sticky today. gross.

we have the hotness and because i am planted in a huge leatherette chair i am personally quite sticky and gross.

I have great admiration for anyone able to write a whole paper in a matter of hours. i never had the cuervos to leave an entire essay right to the last minute because i was always a feared that my brane would broek under the pressure. I never finished anything in good time but that's cos footnotes and bibliographies are sooo fucking tedious to do.

I used to write papers the night before they were due all the time. Now I try not to do that (although I TOTALLY did it for my sociology class last summer; that class was kind of ridiculous)

When I was walking to the train this morning I felt all euphoric and superhuman, which definitely hammers home the whole stress addict thing.

I'm coming around to the whole "all emotions, both negative and positive, are addictive with enough exposure" thing.

i started out today feeling grebt (even though i've a tiny red wine hangover) and was all excited about being up early. then it took me forever to get to work and i started to get sleepy, even though i drank 2 cups of coffee before leaving the house. now i am like, the ONLY one at work. my 2 coworkers who are also in my program are both home working on this project that i am freaking about because i can't start work on it til tomorrow because, oh, i dunno, i had to come to WORK today! maybe they should try it. damn my ethics. now i am just angry because they get more time to work on this stuff than i do.

end rant. but maybe like en i see kay this stress will make my project BETTER than theirs?
