A wise man.

Meantime, John, Sara and Fluffy Bear celebrate Viking Days up in Duluth:

At least I have the sense to wear enough clothing to fight off the inevitable freezing wind off of Lake Superior.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 18:03 (eighteen years ago)

picking up the kids now bump

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 19:52 (eighteen years ago)

HI DERE, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 20:10 (eighteen years ago)

Not alone (for much different reasons in my case)

Ned Raggett, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 20:13 (eighteen years ago)

I would not object to a nap.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 20:49 (eighteen years ago)

just finished cleaning bathroom and doing laundry. such a hot mess right now.
missing awesome sanskrit philip glass opera bc i told my friend 9 months ago her bff and his gf could stay here and they are arriving at some point during which i would be watching opera and can't get in touch w/ any of my roomies to let them in. u_u

bump

tehresa, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 20:52 (eighteen years ago)

oh, boo

My friends would have to wait IN THE STREET

HI DERE, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 21:05 (eighteen years ago)

(I'm kidding; they'd be at the bar)

HI DERE, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 21:07 (eighteen years ago)

this is true

John Justen, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 21:07 (eighteen years ago)

Well it just makes more sense than waiting around for Dan to let us in.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 21:10 (eighteen years ago)

Although I can easily picture John breaking in, you know, as a nice surprise for Dan.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 21:11 (eighteen years ago)

well they are not even my friends (i have never met them before) and they are foreign so i would feel bad since it's a 3 hour opera and i wouldn't get home til like 12.

tehresa, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 21:15 (eighteen years ago)

still ;_;

tehresa, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 21:15 (eighteen years ago)

i have been looking forward to this for months

tehresa, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 21:16 (eighteen years ago)

Well, that just sucks. Clearly, they owe you an opera.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 21:30 (eighteen years ago)

Okay, taking the kids to the booksale now because we could not get a sitter. ;_;

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 21:46 (eighteen years ago)

good morning itr<3

(the "mark c." on its own post made me feel like I'd disappointed you in some way, and you were saying it with a sad shake of the head)

you said 'mean motherf.' so i said 'mark c.'

i wasn't disappointed, i was pleased.

estela, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 21:47 (eighteen years ago)

Heartless. Oh wait.

Ned Raggett, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 22:35 (eighteen years ago)

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 23 April 2008 01:29 (eighteen years ago)

wilter, Wednesday, 23 April 2008 01:43 (eighteen years ago)

i am having all sorts of car trouble too, wilter, and mechanics trouble, it is making me very x

estela, Wednesday, 23 April 2008 01:46 (eighteen years ago)

& hello!

estela, Wednesday, 23 April 2008 01:46 (eighteen years ago)

Oooh, the mall sounds fun.

Hello wilter! Car troubles do suck...

DAN AND JOHN - I didn't buy many books for myself at the booksale (a cookie cookbook, some book about nurses... a bunch of books for the kids). BUT - I saw this woman who looked really familiar. At first I couldn't figure out who it was, but then it hit me: I was pretty sure it was K8 J0hns0n's mom. Which it was! I talked to her for a few minutes. K8's two kids are R0nan (age 4) and 4id4ir (age 1 1/2). And she's an actuary (surprise). And that's it for my random HSTNGS details for the night.

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 23 April 2008 01:47 (eighteen years ago)

i have car troubles (and no-internet troubles...) too: my car won't shift out of park unless i jam a pencil into the gear-box, in just such a wiggly and interesting way.

remy bean, Wednesday, 23 April 2008 02:33 (eighteen years ago)

man total pwnage. so my roommate got home and said he would let germans in and i ran off to go to the opera but when i got there all rush tix were gone and only $275 ones were available. so close! ;_;

tehresa, Wednesday, 23 April 2008 03:18 (eighteen years ago)

remy bean, Wednesday, 23 April 2008 03:25 (eighteen years ago)

wilter, Wednesday, 23 April 2008 05:03 (eighteen years ago)

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 23 April 2008 05:10 (eighteen years ago)

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 23 April 2008 06:07 (eighteen years ago)

lingbert, is your real name stanley knife? because i think ur being disingenuous and it cuts me to the quick.

estela, Wednesday, 23 April 2008 08:17 (eighteen years ago)

I really like the name estela. I have added it to the potential names for potential baby one day perhaps list. Also Lingbert.

Mark C, Wednesday, 23 April 2008 10:58 (eighteen years ago)

I claim jergins and HI DERE.

maybe king boy pato as well.

Upt0eleven, Wednesday, 23 April 2008 11:11 (eighteen years ago)

Nick is a good solid name. One of my colleagues is one her 4th Nick is a row, I think?

Mark C, Wednesday, 23 April 2008 11:41 (eighteen years ago)

I mean in boyfriend terms, not as children's names. That would be a bit too George Foreman.

Mark C, Wednesday, 23 April 2008 11:41 (eighteen years ago)

BOO!

Rubyredd, Wednesday, 23 April 2008 11:44 (eighteen years ago)

estela i don't think lingbert will get the stanley knife reference because they call them something else dumb in the US i think?

Rubyredd, Wednesday, 23 April 2008 11:44 (eighteen years ago)

box cutters i believe.

mark, are you asking me to be your boyfriend?

Upt0eleven, Wednesday, 23 April 2008 12:05 (eighteen years ago)

no it's more like 'craft knife' or some shit.

Rubyredd, Wednesday, 23 April 2008 12:06 (eighteen years ago)

nuh huh: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Box_cutter

Upt0eleven, Wednesday, 23 April 2008 12:08 (eighteen years ago)

or perhaps that means we are both right?

Upt0eleven, Wednesday, 23 April 2008 12:08 (eighteen years ago)

No, we also say Stanley knife in America, the boxcutter thing is a post-9/11 description.

suzy, Wednesday, 23 April 2008 12:14 (eighteen years ago)

interesting. Indeed I don't think I'd heard the term 'boxcutter' before 9/11. Maybe it was used to protect the Stanley company against reprisals?
