hastings' seed is strong and far-flung

jergïns, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 03:04 (eighteen years ago)

that sounds dubious but i like it anyway.

estela, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 03:13 (eighteen years ago)

Well, considering that HSTNGS has a lot of people with about three different last names, I think it's more of an interbreeding nightmare, but I like your idea better.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 03:42 (eighteen years ago)

thank you tom and estela

max, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 03:43 (eighteen years ago)

I'm home (finally) and drinking hot tea because I'm getting a damn cold. I'm also going to have to go downstairs shortly and load this whole thread because I was gone so long that the middle of the thread ate stuff I haven't seen yet. ;_;

(I could do it up here if I wanted a laptop implosion)

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 03:43 (eighteen years ago)

aw sara, hope the tea helps!

tehresa, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 03:45 (eighteen years ago)

Thanks - it can't hurt... and I can still taste it, so that's a good sign.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 03:49 (eighteen years ago)

The best part of all this is that I have a big test on the immune system on Thursday night. So I will do bad things to my immune system (sleeping less, for example) in order to learn about it... LAME

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 03:50 (eighteen years ago)

Okay I'm caught up now whew!

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 03:59 (eighteen years ago)

I really hope I can magically breathe through my nose again tomorrow.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 06:00 (eighteen years ago)

good night, ITR

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 06:00 (eighteen years ago)

So in today's "the world is super-tiny" story, we find out that the husband of the lead soprano in the opera I'm doing is a HSTNGS HGH SCHL alum ('95').

John Justen, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 07:08 (eighteen years ago)

thank you max<3

estela, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 07:24 (eighteen years ago)

btw, porch beers interrupted by rain, but good times were had by all

John Justen, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 07:25 (eighteen years ago)

porch interrupted, beers not, to clarify

John Justen, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 07:26 (eighteen years ago)

that clarification was vital, there is no way itr would have known otherwise.

i saved my ilx the gathering card so i can show it to f.*

*that is what i am going to call my husband on ilx from now on (not his real initial)

(i dislike saying 'my husband' both on here and in real life, and 'mister estela' sounds wrong, and when i asked him what i should call him he said in a frank tone that he didn't care so f. it is)

estela, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 07:32 (eighteen years ago)

CAPTAIN ESTELA

John Justen, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 07:38 (eighteen years ago)

HERR DOKTOR ESTELARELATION

John Justen, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 07:38 (eighteen years ago)

sigh

John Justen, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 07:42 (eighteen years ago)

ok, fine, f. it is

John Justen, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 07:42 (eighteen years ago)

i like 'f.', it is very quick to type, especially since i expect i will drop the '.' before too long.

estela, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 07:50 (eighteen years ago)

thank god because that takes a lot of pressure off of me as mentioned above in my newfound objection to punctuation

John Justen, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 07:51 (eighteen years ago)

you can call him f right off the bat if you want.

estela, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 08:07 (eighteen years ago)

i think he would be mad if i said "f right off the bat"

max, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 08:10 (eighteen years ago)

john justen i just saw your vinyl figures thread: jordan has the little black and white pushpaw/pupshaw figures and also the whatitscalled thingy - the creature with the creature on its back? i forget the name.

neither of us are into vinyl toys that much but the woodring stuff is irresistible. also i would kill for the huge lifesize pupshaw. so awesome.

Rubyredd, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 08:19 (eighteen years ago)

you are right max, you had better stick with calling him f.

estela, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 09:01 (eighteen years ago)

i am just kidding, f. would never get mad at you.

estela, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 09:11 (eighteen years ago)

he's a mean motherf.

estela, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 12:44 (eighteen years ago)

mark c, have you posted that bovril yet, i think i will get the vegemite in the post tomorrow, the hold up has been that i had to get to the mall to get this thing i want to send to sara and i haven't been there for several weeks, but tomorrow i am going first thing in the morning (with f. who is a great one for carrying out a plan, so that is confidence inspiring) and then i will come home and pack it all up and then i will go to work and then i will go straight to the post office after i finish work and then i will come back to itr to announce my triumph.

estela, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 13:07 (eighteen years ago)

Triumphalism. A Roman triumph.

Ned Raggett, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 13:49 (eighteen years ago)

estela, you are TOTALLY sweet. <3 <3 <3

John, I am bitter that you get to have beers while I spend hours feeling sick and learning about fluides and electroyltes. (my prof has an awesome dog, but that is hardly as fun as beers on a porch and then getting rained out. BITTER I TELL YOU)

Dan - I have no idea who that guy was, but I'll attribute that to him being way younger than me...???

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 13:55 (eighteen years ago)

I am going to lie down again because of teh feeling sick thing. This is no way to feel on opening day of the book sale. ;_;

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 14:04 (eighteen years ago)

Sara you has ALL the sympathies. And maybe a bucket.

Upt0eleven, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 14:07 (eighteen years ago)

estela, I have packaged but not posted the bovril, because I have cycled to work the last two days and I can't fit the packages into my tiny rucksack. But I will very very soon!

(the "mark c." on its own post made me feel like I'd disappointed you in some way, and you were saying it with a sad shake of the head)

Mark C, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 14:37 (eighteen years ago)

that's because she WAS

HI DERE, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 14:41 (eighteen years ago)

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 15:56 (eighteen years ago)

xpost thx Nick, you are very kind. I will not infect you with this plague.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 15:57 (eighteen years ago)

Nick, she LIES, flee while you can

HI DERE, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 15:58 (eighteen years ago)

My immune system is rock so I pretty much never get ill. I am however, clumsy as hell so do injure myself a lot. Try and infect me with tripping over a pavement or hitting my head on some scaffolding.

Upt0eleven, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 16:04 (eighteen years ago)

Nick, no worries; I have to go breathe on Dan first, APPARENTLY. You're momentarily safe!

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 16:05 (eighteen years ago)

Wait, is Dan trying to provoke me into making him get sick so that he has a good excuse to take a day off of work?

I'm on to you, deX.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 22 April 2008 16:06 (eighteen years ago)

wow perry's taken on a slightly clooney-esque look there. last time i saw him on a talk show (yearrs ago) he seemed really coked out.
