Upt0eleven, Sunday, 20 April 2008 22:41 (eighteen years ago)

i am at work. basically, it sucks.

Rubyredd, Sunday, 20 April 2008 22:48 (eighteen years ago)

I am alive and conscious and I would like to pass out now, thanks.

But if you need a wound dressing changed, wake me up because I can probably do that for you.

Sara R-C, Monday, 21 April 2008 00:26 (eighteen years ago)

guess who just finally managed to drink their hangover away

John Justen, Monday, 21 April 2008 01:08 (eighteen years ago)

well done. i think i speak for all of us in saying we are proud of you!

i am going to see my friend's band in a little bit and probably work on my hangover for tomorrow.

tehresa, Monday, 21 April 2008 01:13 (eighteen years ago)

proud, envious, six of one...

Sara R-C, Monday, 21 April 2008 01:19 (eighteen years ago)

GAH treadmill time again... so soon.

Sara R-C, Monday, 21 April 2008 01:38 (eighteen years ago)

Today I BURNED some TRASH and then chainsawed some more dead hickory into fireplace size bits and then I went and wired a couple of D batteries up to an aluminum baffle under the birdfeeder so as to ELECTROCUTE some MISCHIEVOUS COONS

El Tomboto, Monday, 21 April 2008 01:43 (eighteen years ago)

it was totally weird working underneath the birdfeeder trying to make sure the ground wire would stay put and hearing all the little birds going back and forth only a few feet over my head

El Tomboto, Monday, 21 April 2008 01:45 (eighteen years ago)

My response to the loud Chinese arguments going on in the apartment above: Playing Cool in the Pool every time it starts up again.

Seems to work.

en i see kay, Monday, 21 April 2008 02:44 (eighteen years ago)

so i figure i have only about 65 days at this stupid store till i'm done. that's not so bad, right?

Rubyredd, Monday, 21 April 2008 03:00 (eighteen years ago)

YOU CAN MAKE IT, RR!

Sara R-C, Monday, 21 April 2008 03:34 (eighteen years ago)

<3 u sara

Rubyredd, Monday, 21 April 2008 04:12 (eighteen years ago)

hey guys, I'm still working but at least I'm at home and drinking so it's not all bad

HI DERE, Monday, 21 April 2008 04:31 (eighteen years ago)

RR, you are a dear, but I fear if you met me you would realize that I'm horrifically dull, as well as terrible at Scramble.

But still, <3 <3 <3 and also please move to Minnesota because everyone else is sick of me.

Sara R-C, Monday, 21 April 2008 04:32 (eighteen years ago)

Dan, I am sitting here surrounded by textbooks, studying for Yet Another Test, and I definitely wish I could bend time and space so that we could share a drink.

Sara R-C, Monday, 21 April 2008 04:34 (eighteen years ago)

Words that are floating in my head that I have learned of late: diapodesis, dehiscence, uticaria, pruritis. I wonder if I spelled those right.

Sara R-C, Monday, 21 April 2008 04:35 (eighteen years ago)

Dan's weekend sounds like it was the butt of all buttness that was ever butt. Aside from the home and drinking part.

Ned Raggett, Monday, 21 April 2008 04:39 (eighteen years ago)

People!

remy and lingbert and lxy came to the ballet. i wore a suit and we put on the LOL festival (yes that was the name) and i did in fact lol

jergïns, Monday, 21 April 2008 04:44 (eighteen years ago)

omg, that sounds SO FUN!

(The ballet, not Dan's butt weekend, which sounded really awful until Ned made it sound even worse)

Sara R-C, Monday, 21 April 2008 04:48 (eighteen years ago)

in one of the pieces dancers threw each other oranges onstage and i stood at the side and they danced in the wings when they weren't on and i got an orange

jergïns, Monday, 21 April 2008 04:49 (eighteen years ago)

yay free snacks

Sara R-C, Monday, 21 April 2008 05:08 (eighteen years ago)

sara speaking of bending time and space, did you know that 'time shifting' is an approved term in copyright law!? awesome!!!!

guys i was at the bar and decided to revert to my college game of 'try out different flavored vodkas with tonic' so i had many RUBY REDs. i first tried w/ soda but then decided tonic is better. then i thought lemon instead of lime, but i was wrong. lime is a better compliment to the RUBY RED and tonic.

tehresa, Monday, 21 April 2008 05:57 (eighteen years ago)

Whoa, I am waiting for that "time shifting" to become a patented THING. But that is funny about copyright law. (Well, unless I'm violating TEH LAW here...)

Also, that sounds like a good game. I will need it by the end of this week...

Sara R-C, Monday, 21 April 2008 06:31 (eighteen years ago)

Also good night, etc. etc. SO not ready for it to be Monday...

Sara R-C, Monday, 21 April 2008 06:31 (eighteen years ago)

thank god my monday is ending :]

wilter, Monday, 21 April 2008 06:34 (eighteen years ago)

time shifting is like how you are allowed to tape something off tv and watch it later. not reallllly that insane but i love that term! there is also space shifting, and we kept fucking up during class and saying shape shifting.

tehresa, Monday, 21 April 2008 06:35 (eighteen years ago)

oh also i had a crowning vanity moment tonight when i had been watching this asian chick in the 2nd band and thinking how awesome her hair was and how i can never get mine to look that good and then later she complimented mine and asked if it was real, and when i said yes, said she was jealous of it and that hers was not real.
woah!

tehresa, Monday, 21 April 2008 07:02 (eighteen years ago)

Dan's butt weekend

Is this available on DVD?

Mark C, Monday, 21 April 2008 10:36 (eighteen years ago)

I do not like this morning thing and I think we should ban it.

Time shifting = what my TiVo does for me?! Cool! I wish it could get me more sleep.

Also tehresa, yes, the grass is always greener growing on someone else's head.

Sara R-C, Monday, 21 April 2008 13:29 (eighteen years ago)

I would supportly support the banning of mornings. Who do we petition to get this done?

Upt0eleven, Monday, 21 April 2008 13:41 (eighteen years ago)

Well thread-killed Nick :) I dunno why it's so quiet, the seppos are usually up and about by now, aren't they?

Mark C, Monday, 21 April 2008 14:55 (eighteen years ago)

i hate work so much right now

HI DERE, Monday, 21 April 2008 15:09 (eighteen years ago)

supportly support? seppos? i suddenly feel like i can't read.

lxy, Monday, 21 April 2008 15:13 (eighteen years ago)

It's fucking Patriot's Day, why didn't I take the day off?

HI DERE, Monday, 21 April 2008 15:29 (eighteen years ago)

there's a holiday for your football team?

itr is some other plane netherworld today. or i am.

lxy, Monday, 21 April 2008 15:36 (eighteen years ago)

It's Patriot's Day today?

That does sound kind of made up to me.

Sara R-C, Monday, 21 April 2008 15:41 (eighteen years ago)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patriot%27s_Day

HI DERE, Monday, 21 April 2008 15:43 (eighteen years ago)

PATRIOTISM NEVER TAKES A HOLIDAY, DAN

John Justen, Monday, 21 April 2008 15:56 (eighteen years ago)

Urgh, I hate explaining "seppos" to Americans cos they always take it like it's an insult! Well, cheerful cockney geezers like me and Nick occasionally incorporate a little bit of quaint rhyming slang into our speech. One example of this is "septic tank", which means "yank", and is a colourful, cheeky term for our brothers and sisters across the pond. But there is no implied slight despite the use of a word meaning container of sewage!

Seriously - I spent 5 years trying to persuade my American ex that it wasn't at all abusive, and she refused to believe me. But you guys understand, right? Right?

Mark C, Monday, 21 April 2008 16:03 (eighteen years ago)

"septic tank" being shortened to "seppo" in everyday parlance, of course.

Mark C, Monday, 21 April 2008 16:04 (eighteen years ago)

mark says you're all sewage repositories

Upt0eleven, Monday, 21 April 2008 16:06 (eighteen years ago)

It's fucking Patriot's Day, why didn't I take the day off?

-- HI DERE, Monday, 21 April 2008 15:29 (41 minutes ago)

you mean "Marathon Monday"

jessie monster, Monday, 21 April 2008 16:11 (eighteen years ago)

boddington's broke my keyboard.

jessie monster, Monday, 21 April 2008 16:11 (eighteen years ago)

i actually didn't know that one mark. but i was intrigued to learn that the term "berk" comes from cockney rhyming slang too: "Berkley Hunt" which means something very rude that it rhymes with.

anyway... patriots day eh? what a daft excuse for not going to work.

Upt0eleven, Monday, 21 April 2008 16:12 (eighteen years ago)

good excuse to not go to school, tho.

jessie monster, Monday, 21 April 2008 16:21 (eighteen years ago)

jessie, you don't have school today? I DO ;_;

Sara R-C, Monday, 21 April 2008 16:32 (eighteen years ago)

Also, "seppo" leaves me speechless.

Sara R-C, Monday, 21 April 2008 16:33 (eighteen years ago)

As does "seppoku", which is what I thought that was in reference to.

HI DERE, Monday, 21 April 2008 16:42 (eighteen years ago)

Seppoku would certainly leave a person speechless.

Not to mention lifeless.
