omg what a night! meeting/interviewish thing got postponed bc the lady's grandfather died and some other issues i'm not sure about andshe got herself wasted during the course of the show so we had a short chat and now i have to go call next week and set something else up?

then i went for a drink at some mexican place w people and had a gingerita - margarita w/ fresh ginger (the ginger was mostly overpowered by the lime, though :( but a valiant effort!) and then i went allllllll the way to soho bc SOMEONE did not txt me back to say they were leaving the bar and it just took me an hour to get home so i bought beer at the deli. blue moon honey moon! i am not into honey, but it has fresh orange peel and that is a+ and it is actually not too sweet :D

i had heard that frozen bananas are good, so i gave it a shot, but my fridge failed me. and actually, i guess i have had frozen bananas before, but i think they were covered in chocolate and it was years ago.

some things benefit from being frozen eg grapes, but i think i will go on record as saying that bananas are better thawed.

this may be a dumb question but can you turn the temp setting down or is it already at the lowest setting?

tehresa, the "freezer" is on the lowest setting. but you see, i live in a studio that only has a kitchenette, which only has one of those little dorm-type fridges because nothing else will fit. it's pathetic. it can't even keep ice cream frozen. it doesn't have a freezer so much as a compartment at the top of the fridge that has a plastic flap door and is somewhat cooler than the rest of the fridge. it's best at accumulating ice over time.

ah yes, i remember that. freshman year of college i came home one day to melted orange popsicles leaking EVERYWHERE. ew.

she wasn't even in my section, but the slack fucks doing the front room needed my help. her and her 3 middle-aged drunk cronies were being loud and obnoxious and i was rushed. i put their plates down and as i was walking/running off one of them started to ask for cutlery and i cut her off and said yep, cutlery and napkins are on the way. apparently (i was outta earshot) she yelled out THAT GIRL WAS FUCKING RUDE which was followed by THEY'RE ALL FUCKING RUDE.

then my boss kicked them out.

ok, not really... they continued being assholes, a whole bunch of ppl left out of disgust, one of my bosses told them to leave, while my other two bosses totally chickenshit themselves trying to make amends. it was quite a farce.

i have never been tolerant of assholes and i'm no good at biting my tongue when people are downright rude. fortunately the customer service jobs i've had have been in places where i was actively encouraged to tell the customers to go fuck themselves if they were unpleasant.

and no, have not yet called the girl. I'm in Brighton tomorrow and Sunday so if anything happens it won't be til next week/weekend anyway. also still a bit O_o over the late night phonecall but i can get over that. hothothothothothot
