Laval police investigators confer at the Demix quarry, where two bodies believed to be those of missing U.S. dancers Mark Kraynak and Steve Wright were discovered yesterday.

Mark Kraynak survived the war in Iraq. But it appears he met his end in a Laval quarry.

Laval police said last night that two bodies found yesterday morning are almost certainly those of Kraynak and Steve Wright, two U.S. strippers who vanished last week.

"They were wearing clothes identical to those described on the two missing men, but the bodies are so badly decomposed that we cannot have a positive visual identification," Constable Guy Lajeunesse said.

"Everything leads us to believe these are the two Americans who were missing."

I guess 'orphaned' or 'atrophied' would imply some form of salvageability. here is an example of a thread that was neglected for a long time until some dismal spanish prat brought it back into relevance

no thread is incapable of being revived whereas orphanhood can be remedied but not reversed

stillborns however may be rendered unto heaven

Since at least the time of Augustine, theologians, considering baptism to be necessary for the salvation of those to whom it can be administered, have debated the fate of unbaptized innocents, and the theory of the Limbo of Infants is one of the hypotheses that have been formulated as a proposed solution. Some who hold this theory regard the Limbo of Infants as a state of maximum natural happiness, others as one of "mildest punishment" consisting at least of privation of the beatific vision and of any hope of obtaining it. This theory, in any of its forms, has never been dogmatically defined by the Church, but it is permissible to hold it.

Recent Catholic theological speculation tends to stress the hope, though not the certainty, that these infants may attain heaven instead of the supposed state of Limbo.[8]

Male strippers may have died over unpaid cab fare

By INGRID PERITZ

Saturday, October 1, 2005 Page A9

MONTREAL -- One month after the bodies of two male strippers from the
United States were found in a Montreal-area quarry, unleashing
continent-wide speculation over what went wrong, police believe the
deaths may have been due to an unpaid taxi fare.

Surveillance tape screened by police shows the two getting out of a
taxi near an all-night rave club. A few moments later, Mark Kraynak
and Steve Wright are seen running away. The taxi is captured on tape
pursuing them down a back alley.

Police investigating the unsolved deaths say the pair jumped a fence
surrounding a quarry near the club. Unbeknownst to them --it was pitch
black -- only 20 feet separate the fence from the quarry's abyss.

"We think the two wanted to run away without paying," said Constable
Guy Lajeunesse, a spokesman for the police in Laval, where the two
died. "It was very dark when they got to the quarry. They might have
thought after they jumped the fence that they were in the bushes."

Instead, they plunged some 60 feet to their deaths. "They may have
died over a $40 cab fare."
