kind of want to start a thread dedicated to fashion/portrait photography so i can post cool pictures of models w/o a pretext of "I want to have sex with this person".

anything from sartorialist/facehunter-type street photography to fashion mag spreads and ad campaigns to nsfwy "tumblr wave" ish. a thread for stuff that's like "cool photo/look" if not "i'd hit it"-- would anyone else be into this or am i just being ocd?

i saw a tumblr once that was all about hot chix w/thick eyebrows. can't find it anymore.

arty pictures of pretty ppl is p much all tumblr is ime lol. theres a lack of distinction w/ a lot of this stuff so i can never really remember specific photogs/stylists but i like matthew brookes pix of oversexxed masculinity a lot.

haha yeah fair enough i guess ryan mcginley et al have been essentially working this aesthetic for a long time & its just sorta worked its way down but i do think theres a few specific things - the way the girls interact w/ the camera/viewer, ways of posing - that come more out of digital camera do your own fashion shoot photos (which i guess also well predates tumblr)

idk you know more abt these things than i do...

i have not! i have a friend who works @ at one of those boutiques that dress successful graphic designers & tv architects & she passes along old copies of those type of mags that dont sell e.g. another, self service, purple... they all seem to have gorgeous ads for celine & henrik vibskov & long articles abt hotels.

i saw a copy of another tumblr-to-print mag in a high end menswear boutique on sunday (i bought a snazzy roll collar fair isle cardigan) that i now cant remember the title of tho and it was on similar almost card papery stock?

the only other thing of note to report is that ARIZONA MUSE has a feature in this months vague thats p nice and has an incredibly handsome man in it
