love and own this lambchop album, wish I'd voted for it but glad it did just fine!

Thought the Angel Olsen was mostly an overwrought mess. Much prefer her older work, especially Burn Your Fire, and was surprised to see how well it did in eoy polls.

the Malone is losing me a little around track 4. if the first 3 tracks had been the whole album i'd be mildly enthusiastic about it

Lambchop was my #25. Should probably have left it off my ballot. It's good, but I much prefer Flotus.

On jazz, if Ancestral Recall doesn’t place I will be very angry with everyone.

Nérija is the only London jazz album (other than Comet) that might've had a chance, I think? Doesn't seem likely now. I haven't totally given up on Christian Scott yet, perhaps foolishly.

i don't get the new lambchop neither. for me they were always the band that really loved music, you could see and feel that in their concerts. autotune is vile.
