I’m enjoying that Hetfield introducing them in the video isn’t enough of an authority, so you turn to ilx0rs. But yeah, they did Take On Me in Oslo, Dancing Queen in Stockholm, etc. I guess if there’s a metal band from the town too, they’ll give you extra value: here they are in Birmingham.

Nah, the "Alcoholica" days are way behind them. There was an article a while ago that said that they search through Spotify data to make sure that the most-streamed songs in a given city make it into that night's set.

A few of these sound interesting, if not necessarily good. Thinking Rina, Moses Sumney, the Neptunes.

Those 3-minute pop songs from the Black Album are probably the least interesting starting points for a 15-minute afro-spiritual jazz excursion.

Miley’s Nothing Else Matters is fine, thought it’s pretty much a perfect power ballad for her without any substantial changes. The Juanes Enter Sandman is pointless.

The Jason Isbell Sad But True isn’t great but at least tries to do something a little different with the source material.
