Going back something Matt DC said upthread, I will lol if the only placement left off my ballot is Peggy Gou, b/c that's pretty close to the least banging thing on there (okay, except for some weird experimental shit that doesn't have beats, but is harsh in other ways).

Also going back to something imago was saying, I dunno why you think Baby Shark will make it and it's such a bugbear of yours? I put it at #25 because I felt like it deserved a nod for being ubiquitous and memey, but there didn't seem to be a huge pro-Baby Shark movement?

Ridiculously ear-wormy kid's tune that went hugely viral, not even *from* 2018 but was everywhere last year and I think finally hit the charts in January this year? Lots of spin-offs and stuff, Kpop artists doing the dance on TV shows, little kid instas demanding it off Alexa, etc etc...

You googled Baby Shark and it didn't help ? One of either Google, the Internet or you must have done something wrong.

I don't keep up with bobbins, but this Eris Drew is great and I appreciate that bobbins in the top 77 are more often than not ranked in the order in which I will appreciate them.

always surprised that "slow burn" is the non-singles pick off the album, as great as it is

my sound engineer friend wouldn't stfu about how good the production on this album was this year. i don't really have an ear for that, but it really does sound incredible

the whole Kacey Musgraves album sounded extremely good this past summer, it soundtracked a lot of sunset drives around L.A. for me.
