This thread doesn't read particularly well on the part of ILM. The google juggalos - googalos if you will -- come off as mostly defensive homophobic 14 year olds, which is probably who they are. But most of the people on ILM come off as totally elitist and not particularly witty in their clown hate. Dan stands above them all.

There's a few things that always get brought up in the ICP discussion that I don't really understand. 1) Their racism. 2) Their rap-metal hybrid thing.

Relating to 1 is it just because they're white? Because they have tons of songs dating back to their first album about how they hate bigots. They have a song called Rebel Flag about how much they hate the confederate flag. And 2 I don't remember them using anything resembling a guitar until way late in the game. And even then it was only sparingly. Mostly they have really weird beats that sample circus music and bugs in the case of Bugz on my Nugz.

Not to defend them, they're mostly awful. But everyone in my neighborhood was into them when I was younger so I definitely became inundated with them.

Today, while driving on US 23 in northern Michigan, I passed a minivan with his and hers juggalo decals on either side of the rear window: blue running juggalo with hatchet and pink running juggalo (with ponytail & hatchet) on either side.

Haha, I just remembered a story. One time this girl I knew in college showed me a picture of her ex boyfriend from high school. It was his senior photo and he was totally decked out in clown paint. Then a few years later I was dating a girl who grew up in the same town those two were from, and she told me that once at some sort of Juggalo function his friends had to stop him from getting clown makeup TATTOOED ONTO HIS FACE!!!

Also, once, the Juggalo's girlfriend tried to blow me on the campus lawn with students everywhere. Compound this with the fact that I'd already shot down a few offers to go off somewhere and fuck.

I think that was more because of their fans, who tended toward the Korn axis of '90s rock.

I had a friend who had them sign his arm, and then got those signatures tattooed onto him, along with their joker faces. He's since had that covered over with, if I recall correctly, anti-nazi tattoos.

The Dark Carnival is some deep shit to think about, but I very much believe in God too. Juggalo killers on Law and Order a couple of days ago.

I saw somebody wearing these pants a the mall the other day. Central Maryland isn't exactly a Juggalo hotbed, even at the malls, so I was pretty excited. The pants were so shiny and new - the hatchet men gleamed in the sun - I feel like maybe it was the guy's first day wearing them. His debut appearance in his $95 trousers.
