Wow. Nolanb has ILX bang to rights. We shoulda never started those 'Ja Rule and Limp Bizkit: post your words of praise for these god-like geniuses' threads. How can we stop advertising our musical tastes so blatantly, so fanboyishly?

Actually, NolanB, if you care to look around our fine little bulletin board, you'll many many pages where people show their love or hate (or both) for just about every musical artist ever. (Take a look here, for instance -- though it's a pretty big page and you may have to scroll down for links to pages about more famous bands.)

I will mention again that I discovered lately that one of my favorite salsa partners (who is increasingly also a friend) likes Dave Matthews a lot. My last girlfriend, who was also a very good dancer, said favorable things about him. Neither of these people fit the boring yuppie Dave Matthews Band stereotype, not in my judgment anyway.
Maybe ILMers just hate him because enticing women like him.

i HAVE heard the dave solo.and i even gave it 4-7 spins.and you know what?it still smacks of someone who really shouldn't have made any albums, but still managed to fanagle a career out of a one trick pony. and he's gonna be in a kids movie?!!! defiling the youth further.
and that article in rolling stone really set me straight. it's hard to be dave. as i'm sure it's hard to be ani.wait, no...it's not hard to be either of them!those filthy rich richies!!!! trustafarians!!!!!!!CLASS WAR.eh.or not.

and whatnot and whathave you.
aliens will crack out primitive binary ways and discover that this sole thread will have continued without human intervention for over 1000 years. thus, the aliens will also find DMB repulsive if only by default, due to this thread.
and so, the cosmos will be saved. all found DMB cd's will be promptly destroyed, so as to not sully the alien races' evolved sense of taste.humanity will be remembered fondly for at least knowing what was truly crap.
