not very often, but sometimes, yeah!
current top hits: "best beloved tuppence", "i prefer the lindstrom remix", "singing detective"site:ilxor.com/ilx and "whippet on a pikestaff"
― stet, Thursday, 16 February 2012 22:35 (twelve years ago) link
^^ of these the most tremendous, most awe inspiring, most deeply affecting is "whippet on a pikestaff". The others shrink to insignifigance beside it.

I think Mike Hanle y is running some kind of experiment.
The phrase "How beautiful is the gently falling blood" reminds me of reading of a heroin user (possibly famous?) who always injected above a bath of water as the gently falling drips of blood hitting the water and forming "blood flowers" just as he was getting high was the most beautiful/cool/fucked up thing.

Think I did come in via google after looking up some French avant-folk-psych singer whose name I can't remember. From what I recall I should have bought the cd which was still reasonably cheap at the time.
― Stevolende, Thursday, 16 February 2012 23:50 (twelve years ago) link
How is "How beautiful is the gently falling blood" the only single hit on google? Deserves more recognition tbh.

not to be all "mods r dicks" but dude is a regular poster-- is a permaban for goofing w/ statscock really worth it?
or was it messing w/ the server?
― ⚓ (gr8080), Friday, 17 February 2012 02:26 (twelve years ago) link
Yeah, it was -- he was running a one-man DoS. More than a million hits from his IP, and it was still running. Only way to stop him was to boot his IP.
I've also put in some other stuff to stop it happening again. When goofing with the server turns into three hours of work for me, yeh he's getting banned. Don't fuck with our server.
