Also, this poll needs more representative from the threads that aren't actually fun to read but capture mentalism and unnecessary vitriol at their best. I don't think I was around for a lot of the best of these, but I loved egging James Blount on as he baited the masses with class warfare and multivalent name-calling on Robert Polllard played his first solo show last night to a half empty crowd in Athens, GA. Alternately, the Stevie Ray Vaughan thread.

I will 2nd the set of rightwing cartoonist threads. Can they be included as a single set somehow?

I'm going to be mildly annoyed when the thread about Gear's roomate inevitably wins this poll - truly it is the Hey Ya of threads.

I think the most popular and fondly remembered threads are generally those revolving around one specific poster in a particular situation in real time. Eg "there's this cute girl in the library opposite me, how do I start talking to her?" "a car alarm keeps on going off outside my house" or "help there's a man in a trucker hat having anal sex with my roomate on my couch".
