1) Who the fuck cares what Trump says about anything.

2) He's so stupid, the last he was talking about the 25th was a conspiracy theory that the Deep State who whomever the fuck would declare Biden incapable under the 25th the make Harris president. And you thought *Biden* was a radically leftist, man ...

Anyway, who the fuck cares about Trump, he can eat shit.

I've always assumed it's gonna be George Soros calling the shots anyway, right?

Andy the Grasshopper, Tuesday, 12 January 2021 20:51 (five years ago)

If by "shots" you mean vaccines, yes, his mind-control microchip is in them. (courtesy of Bill Gates)

Biden won’t hand over the reins. He finishes his term or dies in office.

Joe Biden Stan Account (milo z), Tuesday, 12 January 2021 20:53 (five years ago)

But she's a Black woman, so she is obviously a Radical Leftist who's looking to usher in communism.
yeah I'm kind of surprised the whole "she's the most radical Senator on the left" thing never got more pushback

― frogbs, Tuesday, January 12, 2021 2:48 PM (two minutes ago) bookmarkflaglink

it's a double bind, she's either a corporate police state goon or a radical communist or, magically, both

Blues Guitar Solo Heatmap (Free Download) (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Tuesday, 12 January 2021 20:53 (five years ago)

or, magically, both

you bet your ass it's magically both

Karl Malone, Tuesday, 12 January 2021 20:54 (five years ago)

Biden won’t hand over the reins. He finishes his term or dies in office.

This is kinda where I am. Even if he effectively becomes unable to govern, this won't be made public and he'll serve out his term bar any serious illness or incapacitation.

america's choice, joe biden

Karl Malone, Tuesday, 12 January 2021 20:55 (five years ago)

Just saw someone suggest that Trump is referencing a Q theory that Democrats are going to use the 25th against Biden once he's in office so as to install Kamala as president.

― jaymc, Tuesday, January 12, 202

This line has gotten traction in rightist Cuban circles since August: Biden at best a well-meaning prop for Harris and Pelosi (unlike with Obama, I haven't read or overheard anyone hating Biden personally).

As long as Dr Jill is around to help with the astrology charts, I'm cool with it

Andy the Grasshopper, Tuesday, 12 January 2021 20:56 (five years ago)

succession scenarios for Joe Biden

Canon in Deez (silby), Tuesday, 12 January 2021 20:57 (five years ago)

the kamala conspiracy thing is going to be evergreen until literally inauguration day 2025 - all the way up to january whatever, after the 2024 election, there will still be moms just worried SICK about the inevitability that joe is about to step down and install evil kamala harris as president

Karl Malone, Tuesday, 12 January 2021 20:58 (five years ago)

I guess there's going to be a "Indoguration" ceremony as well..?

Biden is a Irish guy with a rescue dog... he should be more popular than Donnie Osmond

Andy the Grasshopper, Tuesday, 12 January 2021 20:59 (five years ago)

andy, i just need to say that i can't tell if that's a joke or not, because while that seems absurd, this is a new era and things like that seem to happen often

Karl Malone, Tuesday, 12 January 2021 21:01 (five years ago)

I have to say, I’m almost 50 and cynical as fuck and yet somehow I’m still surprised by how much America hates Black people when they dare to be something aside from an athlete or entertainer

Totino's Fortnite Training Room (DJP), Tuesday, 12 January 2021 21:03 (five years ago)

Ehh yeah, it's not a joke: https://www.foxnews.com/lifestyle/biden-dog-major-indoguration-ceremony-delaware

Andy the Grasshopper, Tuesday, 12 January 2021 21:05 (five years ago)

It's a fundraiser for rescue dogs so i have no issue with it

Andy the Grasshopper, Tuesday, 12 January 2021 21:07 (five years ago)

ah yeah, that's great! also it's not the White House that's doing it or anything, it's just the animal shelter. so hell yeah indoguate away! i was thinking it was supposed to be some cute "pardon the turkey"-esque sideshow

Karl Malone, Tuesday, 12 January 2021 21:09 (five years ago)

Are people going to start being able to forget who the President is for longish periods. Or is it a constant awareness anyway, it's one of the first things you're asked if you come to after a concussion or whatever isn't it?

Stevolende, Tuesday, 12 January 2021 21:09 (five years ago)

Biden won't run again, but I can't see that he'll step down before then, absent compelling health issues.

clemenza, Tuesday, 12 January 2021 21:13 (five years ago)

really enjoying this two and a half month election

Trump registered for re-election at 5:11 pm on January 20th, 2017.

shivers me timber (sic), Tuesday, 12 January 2021 21:19 (five years ago)

I'm pretty sure I've never forgotten who the president is.

Blues Guitar Solo Heatmap (Free Download) (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Tuesday, 12 January 2021 21:27 (five years ago)

Eisenhower barely registered with me. I turned six right about when Kennedy was elected in November 1960. I have been quite aware of all presidents since.

Respectfully Yours, (Aimless), Tuesday, 12 January 2021 21:31 (five years ago)

Bush I took office a few months before I was born. I don’t remember him at all—first election I remember was Clinton’s re-election against Bob Dole.

treeship., Tuesday, 12 January 2021 21:34 (five years ago)

I’ve always been conscious of who the president and VP are/were ... but every now and again I’ll meet someone who just doesn’t know, as improbable as that seems.

Everything's Blue In This Whorl (Raymond Cummings), Tuesday, 12 January 2021 21:34 (five years ago)

(Well, I wasn’t aware of Carter/Mondale at the time - they took office right around the time I was born.)

Everything's Blue In This Whorl (Raymond Cummings), Tuesday, 12 January 2021 21:35 (five years ago)

well yes ok I wasn't talking about infants obviously

Blues Guitar Solo Heatmap (Free Download) (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Tuesday, 12 January 2021 21:36 (five years ago)

what's kind of weird is that george HW bush was the president i became aware of, but i'm pretty sure it was during the 1988 campaign when reagan was still the president. i guess it was the combination of campaign coverage and reagan's failing mind that kept him off tv during that time

Karl Malone, Tuesday, 12 January 2021 21:37 (five years ago)

matt I didn't know who the president was in 1973 but I also hadn't been born for another 16 years

k3vin k., Tuesday, 12 January 2021 21:38 (five years ago)

Aimless has me beat, but I've never not been aware since Nixon. At 6, though, no recollection of LBJ.

clemenza, Tuesday, 12 January 2021 21:38 (five years ago)

I started first grade months before Reagan's first election, high school in the same period '88, college '92, grad school '96. No wonder I care about this shit.

Blues Guitar Solo Heatmap (Free Download) (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Tuesday, 12 January 2021 21:38 (five years ago)

I remember the clinton-dole election being dull. My mom supporter clinton and my dad supported dole but it was not considered a big deal at all. They had subtly different ideas on economic issues and that was it.

treeship., Tuesday, 12 January 2021 21:38 (five years ago)

my first memory is cursing Ford's pardon of Nixon while potty-training

Totino's Fortnite Training Room (DJP), Tuesday, 12 January 2021 21:39 (five years ago)

Feels like a different country. If one of my parents supported trump the other one would divorce them.

treeship., Tuesday, 12 January 2021 21:39 (five years ago)

yeah that is weird to think about how different it is now

Blues Guitar Solo Heatmap (Free Download) (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Tuesday, 12 January 2021 21:40 (five years ago)

I can't (or won't) remember Quayle.

Andy the Grasshopper, Tuesday, 12 January 2021 21:40 (five years ago)

ahem it's "remembere"

Blues Guitar Solo Heatmap (Free Download) (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Tuesday, 12 January 2021 21:41 (five years ago)

i do, because i remember he couldn't spell potato, or tomato. what a fucking idiot! dan quayle must have been the dumbest person alive!!

Karl Malone, Tuesday, 12 January 2021 21:42 (five years ago)

growing up in Texas, I knew that Bush was "the good one" and Clinton was "the bad one", but that's it

in retrospect its kinda fucked that a bunch of my generation got their introduction to politics via Bill Clinton getting a blowjob

frogbs, Tuesday, 12 January 2021 21:43 (five years ago)

I remember Carter getting elected but it didn't seem like a big deal? Maybe my parents weren't super excited about it. Plus I was only 7. The first political figure who really made an impression on me was Margaret Thatcher — we lived in the UK for most of 1979, we were there when she got elected and it was clearly a big deal. My parents and their friends we were living with were not happy about it.

McConnell believes Trump committed impeachable offenses & is pleased w/ impeachment effort, believing it'll make easier to purge Trump from GOP. McCarthy asking other Rs whether he oughta call for Trump to resign. by @jmartNYT & @maggieNYT https://t.co/wnWQ7VtkYL

come to think of it that was my introduction to the idea of oral sex, which at 12 years old made NO SENSE AT ALL to me

frogbs, Tuesday, 12 January 2021 21:46 (five years ago)

With most people it was kept private who they supported. My mom had guesses who my dad voted for but he never flat out disclosed it until Obama. Theyve been a couple since 1966!

A True White Kid that can Jump (Granny Dainger), Tuesday, 12 January 2021 21:46 (five years ago)

In some parallel universe, Dan Quayle is finishing being president right now and the people are wondering what could have been worse.

Mark G, Tuesday, 12 January 2021 21:48 (five years ago)

pretty wild...my wife said she'd probably wind up divorcing me if I became a Trump supporter

frogbs, Tuesday, 12 January 2021 21:48 (five years ago)

I remember my dad making my brothers and I watch the Nixon resignation, saying it was "historic." I was old enough to know that was code for "something that would bore me to shit", and it did. Plus, it was a nice summer day out.
