oh man this chick singing queen sucks so bad
― 69, Thursday, 6 March 2008 01:14 (eighteen years ago)
hahaha this other girl rules for refusing to smile when simon said she was fantastic
― 69, Thursday, 6 March 2008 01:20 (eighteen years ago)
Way to throw Syesha off a bridge there at the end, judges. Not that I mind, she and Kady were probably toast anyway.
― Michael F Gill, Thursday, 6 March 2008 02:05 (eighteen years ago)
They were all obviously on Paula's pills tonight, and the affects really kicked in when they were heaping praise on Amanda's Joan Jett song (that girl is awful).
― Johnny Fever, Thursday, 6 March 2008 02:13 (eighteen years ago)
I thought it was an awesome choice for her, but she didn't deliver with the vocals. She sounded sort of tired.
― Michael F Gill, Thursday, 6 March 2008 02:23 (eighteen years ago)
Her voice gets shakey because she's stomping around the stage so hard, and then she goes off key.
― Johnny Fever, Thursday, 6 March 2008 03:32 (eighteen years ago)
I hate her and her stupid face.
― nickalicious, Thursday, 6 March 2008 03:44 (eighteen years ago)
Really? She also didn't smile when Randy and Paula complimented her, or when Ryan was talking to her afterwards...it made her seem really unpleasant. I wonder if something was wrong.
― musically, Thursday, 6 March 2008 05:09 (eighteen years ago)
What I don't get is why does everyone consider Simon's opinion to the most important? If I was a singer I'd rather get feedback from someone like Randy who's actually worked with and produced songs for several big artists/famous songs. What the fuck has Simon done? Oh right, he manages Il Divo.
― Lovelace, Thursday, 6 March 2008 23:09 (eighteen years ago)
I loved it a couple weeks ago when Simon admitted without any shame that he'd never heard Heart's "Magic Man". Does Heart not get airplay on UK radio? Furthermore, he's been in the US for about eight years now. Has he never ever turned on a classic rock station?
― Johnny Fever, Thursday, 6 March 2008 23:14 (eighteen years ago)
I've never heard of Heart before I started watching AI. I don't think they're known at all in Europe.
― Lovelace, Thursday, 6 March 2008 23:47 (eighteen years ago)
I'm breaking my internet fast just to say that this show officially sucks. I only like one contestant, David Archuleta. Ramiele is decent. I'm not watching anymore. Fucking A.
― Tape Store, Friday, 7 March 2008 02:02 (eighteen years ago)
Gah so close to being rid of Kristy.
― Michael F Gill, Friday, 7 March 2008 02:04 (eighteen years ago)
Ew, Kristy over Asia'h? And I thought Danny would have definitely gone through!
Is next week Beatles week?
― musically, Friday, 7 March 2008 05:02 (eighteen years ago)
Even though Idol is trying to obscure the iTunes rankings of the contestants' songs in relation to each other, they still show if they're on the iTunes top songs list, and Jason Castro's version of Hallelujah is at #94.
― musically, Friday, 7 March 2008 05:20 (eighteen years ago)
jesus, how long until paula's taken to the looney bin? i'm seriously starting to worry about her mental health.
― Beatrix Kiddo, Friday, 7 March 2008 13:07 (eighteen years ago)
I actually think this is the strongest top 12 there's been since I've started watching the show (season 3), though I think they've all been pretty close to the same quality.
― Greg Fanoe, Friday, 7 March 2008 16:31 (eighteen years ago)
tonight is on some serious pep rally stuff
― Michael F Gill, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 00:05 (eighteen years ago)
My mom is in love with Jason Castro. I meanwhile only merely favor him above all other of the boys - except D Archuleta.
I was surprised that Simon is a fan of the Jeff Buckley version!
― nickalicious, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 00:12 (eighteen years ago)
Paula's rambling after Jason's performance from last week was INCREDIBLE.
Wow - Chikezie with the performance of the year so far.
― Michael F Gill, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 00:21 (eighteen years ago)
damnit, i'm watching
― Tape Store, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 00:43 (eighteen years ago)
Has Seacrest always been a major cokehead and I'm just now noticing it, or is this a new development?
― Nicole, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 00:43 (eighteen years ago)
and Chikezie!!!!!!!
not a cokehead
― Tape Store, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 00:44 (eighteen years ago)
I think he was genuinely excited.
― Michael F Gill, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 00:51 (eighteen years ago)
SCREW UP, DAVID COOK, SCREW UP
― Tape Store, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 00:51 (eighteen years ago)
David Cook personally sucked, he had the benefit of an incredible arrangement and DRUMMER.
― nickalicious, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 00:59 (eighteen years ago)
I really don't get him. at all. Does he have a good voice? Am I crazy? Oh, and I still despise Carly. Celine Dion sucked the first time around.
― Tape Store, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 01:00 (eighteen years ago)
How do I find out who the drummer is?!
― nickalicious, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 01:03 (eighteen years ago)
Man - Brooke White is at least the most passionate about music person on this show, and I think she's great.
― nickalicious, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 01:11 (eighteen years ago)
Chikezie was pretty awesome. I thought Carly, David Cook, and Jason's performances were really disappointing. I continue to enjoy Lullaby and Brooke, even though it seems like I should find them really boring.
― Greg Fanoe, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 01:11 (eighteen years ago)
I missed Chikezie! haha Lullaby
Beatles night is always the best though isn't it.
― nickalicious, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 01:12 (eighteen years ago)
Yeah, I mean I thought Carly and Jason sucked, but at least they sucked while singing really good songs. I'd rather hear that then somebody sucking doing terrible songs.
As far as I know this is the first Beatles night, right?
― Greg Fanoe, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 01:17 (eighteen years ago)
"Pizza bistro."
― govern yourself accordingly, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 01:18 (eighteen years ago)
Yikes, David Hernandez has to be in serious trouble after that, right? I mean, they can't really eliminate Chikezie after this week right? I'm thinking about throwing him some votes, even though normally I never vote.
― Greg Fanoe, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 01:19 (eighteen years ago)
They do Beatles night every year!
― nickalicious, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 01:33 (eighteen years ago)
Judges are RONG: Dolly Parton-esque "8 Days a Week" was AWESOME. I have typed it; it is LAW.
― nickalicious, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 01:46 (eighteen years ago)
uh, no they don't do Beatles night every years seeing as they didn't have rights to it before this year
― HI DERE, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 01:47 (eighteen years ago)
Are you sure?
btw I am drunk
― nickalicious, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 01:47 (eighteen years ago)
Wait it was a McCartney night wasn't it?
― nickalicious, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 01:48 (eighteen years ago)
wow, David A bombing
― Michael F Gill, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 01:52 (eighteen years ago)
I agree that the "8 days a week" arrangement was awesome, but I thought the vocals were pretty subpar.
― Greg Fanoe, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 01:54 (eighteen years ago)
I feel like Gargamel when it comes to David Aucheletta, I want to kill him and the rest of the smurfs in his village.
― Nicole, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 01:55 (eighteen years ago)
Holy shit! Chikezie killing it in remind-us-what-number clip! Can't wait to see.
― nickalicious, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 01:57 (eighteen years ago)
Worst of the night was David Hernandez. Best was Chikezie and Brooke. Predicted going home: Kristy.
― Greg Fanoe, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 01:58 (eighteen years ago)
Michael Lee Johns was also notably horrible
― Greg Fanoe, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 01:59 (eighteen years ago)
Yeah, he was, and he's one of my favorites AND that's one of my favorite songs AND I sort of predicted it's what he was going to do when they went into the commercial break.
btw wtf is MOMENT OF TRUTH!?!!!!!!
― nickalicious, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 01:59 (eighteen years ago)
Oh and so I guess Chikezie has gone to one name!
― nickalicious, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 02:00 (eighteen years ago)
Chikizzle
― Michael F Gill, Wednesday, 12 March 2008 02:05 (eighteen years ago)
