Cutty,

When is your last day at work and how will this affect your awesome zingers?

dean? (deangulberry), Thursday, 12 August 2004 17:33 (twenty-one years ago)

dear sweet dean:

tomorrow is my final day of this minimum wage shite hole. the zingers, however, will continue indefinitely.

free wireless internet @ school + powerbook = zing factory!

love,

your cutty

cutty (mcutt), Thursday, 12 August 2004 17:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Dear cutty,

will you still have time, while in school, to smoke the chron-chron? And will you share it with me?

Your Friend,

hstencil

hstencil (hstencil), Thursday, 12 August 2004 17:37 (twenty-one years ago)

Dear cutty,

Another one: is that dude in the red hat who I saw your BURRITOVILLE GIRL with while at, um, BURRITOVILLE her boyfriend?

Your Friend,

hstencil

hstencil (hstencil), Thursday, 12 August 2004 17:38 (twenty-one years ago)

dearest pal joelson:

i will never stop my daily regimen of "chron-chron" consumption. and, as my closest friends will tell you, i am always generous with such things. sometimes they don't want to smoke, and i force them to. the BURRITOVILLE GIRL or OKINYA as she is also known, does not have a boyfriend. she loves me only. i think she is training that other spic.

with much love,

cutty-san

cutty (mcutt), Thursday, 12 August 2004 17:41 (twenty-one years ago)

Dearest cuttypal,

Is OKINYA training him because she's quitting?

Dude we need to hang out,

hstencil

hstencil (hstencil), Thursday, 12 August 2004 17:44 (twenty-one years ago)

Dear cutty,

Are the rumors that you are going to move your zing factory overseas to take advantage of tax breaks and cheap foreign 'labor' true or just a dream?

Tu amigo

Miguel Blanko

Michael White (Hereward), Thursday, 12 August 2004 17:46 (twenty-one years ago)

stencerini:

i asked her if she was leaving, and she said no. but then she winked at me and i ran away.

WE SHALL HANG! lunch tomorrow maybe?

cutty (mcutt), Thursday, 12 August 2004 17:48 (twenty-one years ago)

dear white-man:

i do not condone the forced cheap labor found in over-seas and third world zing factories. i find in terms of quality vs. quantity, a zing is best prepared with care and delivered by the zinger and no one else. i may however, outsource my zing customer service to pakistan.

keep it clean,

cuttyzing

cutty (mcutt), Thursday, 12 August 2004 17:52 (twenty-one years ago)

Dearest cuttyDUDE,

I am SO DOWN for lunch tomorrow. AIM me, homie.

Sorry, no question.

Do you ever order Cutty Sark just 'cause you can remember the name or is it the other way round, so you can remember your name?

Dear Cutty,
Where is your camaro? Did the Labret hurt? How come when I call Laydady nobody comes? How come you NEVER paid for that Dismemberment Plan CD you WON off me on Ebay? Where are your HORNRIM glasses NOW
What is the best Built to Spill album? Will the Feud ever get back together? Does Edna ever ask about me? Can you buy me MANY beers tonight?

thx
BQ

ddb (ddb), Thursday, 12 August 2004 18:01 (twenty-one years ago)

Dear cuttybro,

Does the job you're leaving suck worse than the job I'm at? How can I get a better job?

Your Friend,

hstencilatcha

ps. thanks for taking me off that mailing list!

hstencil (hstencil), Thursday, 12 August 2004 18:02 (twenty-one years ago)

dear lil rosemary:

i am agoraphobic and quite hideous. i find i only shine in the confines of this internet "noise board" where people can love me for who i am. thanks for caring, though, it warms the heart.

with mask on,

curddy

cutty (mcutt), Thursday, 12 August 2004 18:04 (twenty-one years ago)

Cutty,
Did you just write spic up there?

Thanks,
Speechless on Sixth Ave.

ddb (ddb), Thursday, 12 August 2004 18:06 (twenty-one years ago)

dear ddbrain:

who is this? do i know you? the camaro died in our lord's year 1999. the labret did not hurt, i was on special k at the time (1995). unfortunately, lay-dady had to be retired when pagers were no longer fashionable and cell phones reigned supreme (2000). i never paid for the dismemberment plan cd because i knew you and i was not afraid of receiving bad feedback (2001). my hornrim glasses were thrown into the depths of mount doom (2000). the best built to spill album is certainly there's nothing wrong with love for nostalgia/high school factor alone (1994?). the feud will NEVER get back together. EVER. edna loves you. you know this. i will buy you none beers tonight.

thx for your questions!

DEAR CAB FOR CUTTY,

HOW MANY SPARKS WILL I NEED TO STAY AWAKE DURING AN 11 PM SHOWING OF ZATOICHI TONIGHT?

LOVE,

BEN GIBBARDEAN

dean? (deangulberry), Thursday, 12 August 2004 18:11 (twenty-one years ago)

dear what deaner was talking about:

after 2 sparks, my stomach feels quite uneasy, my mouth tastes like a cotton-candy factory, and my heart rate is beating twice its normal speed.

so, i suggest: 4. especially if you plan on sitting in one place for two hours, not talking or moving.

respect:

cuttyberg

cutty (mcutt), Thursday, 12 August 2004 18:13 (twenty-one years ago)

more than 4 sparks is SHEER HELLISH MIAMI!

ddb (ddb), Thursday, 12 August 2004 18:13 (twenty-one years ago)

I was thinking 1 Sparks pre-Amoeba, 1 Sparks pre-movie, 1 Sparks an hour into the movie. How's that, McCluttsky?

dean? (deangulberry), Thursday, 12 August 2004 18:15 (twenty-one years ago)

Cuttlerry,
DON CABALLERO IS THE BEST BAND EVER! TRUE OR REALLY FUCKING TRUE?

anxiously awaiting your reply,
deedeebee

ddb (ddb), Thursday, 12 August 2004 18:28 (twenty-one years ago)

Dear Great Cutterino,

Are you sure about this?

the best built to spill album is certainly there's nothing wrong with love for nostalgia/high school factor alone (1994)

I could swear I saw them on this tour (15 fans, Louisville, Kentucky - Butchertown Pub RIP) and it was Summer, 1996.

Not trying to be pedantic, it's my nature,

hstencil

hstencil (hstencil), Thursday, 12 August 2004 18:29 (twenty-one years ago)

dear ddb:

don caballero is actually the best band ever. especially if you are a big fucking music dork who wants to hear king crimson filtered through pennsylvania amish country.

cutty,

Take a Side:

Ian Williams vs Ian Johnson/Jon Williams

lovingly caressingly,

g!

hstencil,

there's nothing wrong with love was released by built to spill in 1994 on up records. it was their 2nd record. i actually got to see the treepeople with doug on 2 separate occasions and they were, quite excellent.

gygax! (gygax!), Thursday, 12 August 2004 18:34 (twenty-one years ago)

dear hpencil:

i saw them on this tour as well, it was at under acme and there were 12 people there. i bought a t-shirt and a limited edition BTS 7" packaged in a cut out of a crosby still and nash LP. you can say perfect from now on if you want, i'll let you slide. i'm sticking with my choice.

mad cutty

cutty (mcutt), Thursday, 12 August 2004 18:35 (twenty-one years ago)

dearest gygax0r:

ian williams is a good-looking, charismatic, pompous bitch. i respect his music, but that motherfucker chews too much gum. they say if you swallow gum, it'll stay in your stomach for SEVEN FUCKING YEARS. the duo of ian johnson williams reminds me of a younger version of the cutty/ddb duo, so i have to go with MY BOYS!

seriously sincerely,

cutty ranks

Besty,

hstencily

hstencil (hstencil), Friday, 13 August 2004 13:55 (twenty-one years ago)

dear hpants:

no, it was an ugly built to spill shirt with a picasso painting on it. i don't know what the painting is called but it is blue man playing guitar looking sad.

best regards,

cutty shark

cutty (mcutt), Friday, 13 August 2004 13:56 (twenty-one years ago)

Dearest Cuttysan,

I think that's "Blue Guitar" or something and maybe it's at the Picasso Museum in Barcelona? I dunno, it was closed on Mondays, the only day I could check it out. This isn't really a question.

Dear Cutty, I don't know who else to ask this, so, like, is Alec Immerman a real person or an Andy Kaufman-esque alter ego of Jon's?

you should certainly go chronological with the comsats.

start at "waiting for a miracle" and continue to "sleep no more"

stop when you can't take it anymore. i find all their supposedly "bad" mid-to-late 80s stuff to be awesome, anyway.

the mighty boosh is the ultimate television

cutty (mcutt), Tuesday, 10 January 2006 20:31 (twenty years ago)

I meant more like Match Of The Day and Footballer's Wives and The Incredibly Strange Film Show.

the boosh!

cutty (mcutt), Tuesday, 10 January 2006 20:32 (twenty years ago)

Nothing as good as Deadwood or The Wire on British tv, I will grant you that.

adamrl (nordicskilla), Tuesday, 10 January 2006 20:33 (twenty years ago)

I think my problem with US TV is more to do with all the ads and also the news.

adamrl (nordicskilla), Tuesday, 10 January 2006 20:34 (twenty years ago)

But then I don't actually watch a lot of tv, anyway - no cable, no reception.

you are on the bike, not the bear

Ømår Littel (Jordan), Friday, 3 April 2009 19:45 (seventeen years ago)

i could outrace most things on a bike

cutty, Friday, 3 April 2009 19:54 (seventeen years ago)

unreliable internet sources say grizzlies can run between 25 - 45 mph

Ømår Littel (Jordan), Friday, 3 April 2009 19:58 (seventeen years ago)

a reliable source (me) says i can maintain a steady 25-30 mph pace, plus i'm smarter than that grizzly

cutty, Friday, 3 April 2009 20:01 (seventeen years ago)

what if the grizzly was riding a horse

Mr. Que, Friday, 3 April 2009 20:02 (seventeen years ago)

cutty, is there anywhere i can read online about whether verbal contracts are enforceable in NY state and, if so, at what point the agreement is considered complete? i have found and understood equivalent information for the uk, but i may be about to get lawyered by a former bro, so would love to read up a little on how this works in the jurisdiction in which he is likely to try it on. (i am aware i will need a lawyer, but hopefully we won't reach that stage and some background would be useful in the meantime.)

caek, Tuesday, 22 September 2009 22:04 (sixteen years ago)

contracts law is the common law, so you'd have to look at the NY courts of appeals cases regarding verbal contracts. there are no statutes governing this type of thing.

cutty, Wednesday, 23 September 2009 00:27 (sixteen years ago)

ok thanks

caek, Wednesday, 23 September 2009 00:39 (sixteen years ago)

hey do you have access to lexisnexis or westlaw through your university library? (i'm guessing no). anyway the encyclopedia "new york jurisprudence" might be helpful for your purposes.

a lot of PROs live in colorado just to get altitude training in

also hey dude, where do you buy your hammer/nutrition stuff? i usually raid this co-op by my house that has weekly sales but I'm thinking online might be even cheaper? buy localism guilt?

also:
heed vs. perpetuem
whey vs. recovery

ALSO:: flavor rex for the above would be great. fruit punch gels suck. raspberry is ok, espresso might be my fave.

┌∩┐(◕_◕)┌∩┐ (Steve Shasta), Tuesday, 23 February 2010 00:15 (sixteen years ago)
