I really liked episode 3! esp the guy from the christopher guest movies what's his name. show has potential.

yeah...not so great yet, but I'm forgiving. After a year Parks and Recreation is finally working, these last two episodes have been great, so I'll give Community a season + to prove itself.

is parks & rec watchable now?

P&R has been my favorite of the NBC Thursday night shows all 3 weeks of the season so far.

P&R is slowly getting better. I watching FlashForward and catching it on Hulu, but I feel like FF has more to prove (I'll stick with it for a month or two, at least) while Parks has improved a lot since Season 1 and seems to be getting into a groove. Community's all right, definitely good enough for me to watch while waiting for Sunny to come on.

Thursday is a pretty great night for TV...Office, Community, 30 Rock (starts in October?), Sunny, Project Runway; it's already taking me a few days to catch up.

p&r has been pretty great so far this season, really strong supporting cast

the best parts of this show thus far have been the scenes with aped and troy during the credits

p&r has been dece. aziz ansari and aubrey plaza and the dude with the tache especially.

rashida jones is attractive but maybe they should make her funny in some way?

I don't know what show you haters are watching. Community has been tops so far. Funnier than The Office this season, at the very least.

Oh, and for those who even know what I'm talking about, the Community creator was apparently also responsible for Heat Vision And Jack.

Yes, but at this point that's not saying much. It does seem like it is getting funnier as it goes along though.

I'm curious: what's not to like? Like, specifically?

I also wonder if I like this more because I'm a Soup fan. But pretty much everyone in the show is good (including Chevy, who I often think is a humorless turd), the writing is funny. I can see this developing into something really good (the next 30 Rock?) if the premise is something they can work with and expand on.

Also, it's worth noting how solid it is straight out of the gate. I can't say that about most of my favorite sitcoms.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE The Soup.

But I don't yet LOVE or even like Community that much yet, though it has some moments.

But I also think the first few episodes of every sitcom are awkward and usually terrible.

Except for Arrested Development.

Watched the first few eps of this tonight. I'm sold.

This show got so brilliantly funny so fast I fear for its future. Tonight's ep FTW.

I am looking forward to watching my "legal download" of the most recent episode.

A few years ago, I prematurely called 30 Rock the logical successor of Arrested Development, and I haven't been particularly disappointed on that front. So:

I nearly choked from laughing when Troy was crawling out of the waiting/testing room like a paralyzed dog.

I look forward to this show more than The Office now. I can't get enough of Abed, he's like the living embodiment of TV Tropes.

The show is getting better now that the characters are more fleshed out.

im enjoying the show but its just a lil too rote - u can feel the writers paying the storyline and character bios etc too much respect - they need to let dark comedy delight guide them

it has potential def but they need to let peoples bad intentions win occasionally - the lesson learning however breezy makes things too predictably neat

when they let troy be funny hes really funny but they give him so few lines

John Oliver's line to the chunky bespectacled dude - "Go shoot John Lennon, you loser!" kept cracking me to an irrational degree.

Me too, because the moment I saw him I was thinking "that dude looks like Mark David Chapman."

Really into the super-manic pace. Feel like half the jokes get, like, a bonus beat that sends them over the top.

Also the Dean is kind of the reincarnation of Tobias Funke, but I'm not complaining.

Really dig the fact that they're spending these early episodes pairing everybody up in different combinations, good character development. Though Britta still needs a chance to be funny and be more than just a stern foil to teach the main character lessons.

i can see this show getting cancelled.

I can see that, but I can also see this show hanging around for a while and doing well, which is often hard to visualize after just a handful of episodes.

i think it could be really good if it would just settle down and find its rhythm.

but yeah, probably will be cancelled, unless NBC decide they've got nothing better (not unlikely!).

hope it doesn't. it can be pretty funny, i like the cast, and yeah britta's kinda hot.
