Not listed are a couple of Animal Planet channel shows that I'm addicted too: Animal Cops and Animal Armageddon. The latter is kind of a miniseries (about massive extinction events!!!!) rather than a show. Also, as was already mentioned, Nip/Tuck, a guilty pleasure. I haven't watched True Blood, but I will and I have a feeling it would be on my list. Can you list something that you anticipate liking? History of Britain is on my Netflix queue. Maybe I should do some serious cramming in order to cast a more comprehensive vote.

Jon Stewart vs The Wire, etc is such an apples/oranges sticky wicket.

There's also a show I like called "Brotherhood," about corrupt politicians and mobsters in Providence, RI.

Yeah my ballot is more or less done, but since I'm going to be home with a newborn for much of October I'm going to see how many shows I can check out on Netflix before voting. I think it's a terrible idea to vote for something you haven't seen but think you'd like, though.

I sort of forgot to nominate Dead Set because I sort of assumed someone else must have done it. The sight of According To Bex at the top end of the list somehow makes this oversight even worse.

I think According to bex may have been a case of something mentioning something crap on the top ten shows of the decade list but i added it just in case (i think i got every damn show mentioned on both of those threads and sorry, no dead set or xavier.)

Shameless bump #6: They had Sonic Youth, Yo La Tengo and The Shins; Gilmore Girls had to be the indie-ist show of the decade, right? (Skins losing points for lol nu rave.)

Also, just noticed the show I possibly enjoyed most this decade didn't make the list: Popworld. Damn that Alex Zane for ruining everything. I will never stop hating that guy.

oh man yeah Popworld was so crucial to my formative years as a music/pop culture junkie. I kinda hate Amstell and Oliver on their own now but together those guys were gold.

But but but what about Buzzcocks? And his stand-up? And I'm sure Oliver will stop being on the horrible T4 and get a proper show one day (or hopefully already has) and I can love her again.

Buzzcocks is great but he does sometimes go overboard on that show. I always liked that Miquita kinda reined him in whenever he got too bonkers.

Yeah, although it was basically an hour of his dad trying to get him off boys and Miquita/Pop World jokes. (This was a couple years ago.)

Craig Charles cld be adequately explained as a poet, Corrie actor, voice of Asterix, funk DJ, ex-Tranmere player, and occasional crackhead. He's a pretty awesome guy and a genuine renaissance man, in fact.

Saw him DJ at Big Chill, he was pretty great.

i never knew a lot of those things. i did like the funk show he had on the radio though, wonder if he still does it.
