yeah so as long as he's doing what he's doing it seems pointless to take best, ya know? well not *pointless*...
― iatee, Friday, 25 September 2009 21:48 (fourteen years ago) link
I certainly don't want to lose the lil' guy, that much is certain.
― Your heartbeat soun like sasquatch feet (polyphonic), Friday, 25 September 2009 21:51 (fourteen years ago) link
yeah he's a gem! I almost preferred it when he didn't have national attention too.
― iatee, Friday, 25 September 2009 21:55 (fourteen years ago) link
LDT's out again this week, so hang on to him for a little longer.
― Johnny Fever, Friday, 25 September 2009 22:50 (fourteen years ago) link
PI trades Brian Westbrook, Phi RB to The Pushin PI trades Jonathan Stewart, Car RB to The Pushin Gav trades Joseph Addai, Ind RB to Insurgents Gav trades Eddie Royal, Den WR to Insurgents
Whatcha guys think?
― Mordy, Tuesday, 29 September 2009 21:25 (fourteen years ago) link
I'd rather have Westbrook and Stewart
― Your heartbeat soun like sasquatch feet (polyphonic), Tuesday, 29 September 2009 21:30 (fourteen years ago) link
none of these trades make any sense unless we know the rest of your team. e.g. this is a bad trade UNLESS you are super hard up for a healthy receiver
― all yoga attacks are fire based (rogermexico.), Tuesday, 29 September 2009 23:01 (fourteen years ago) link
not gud trade
― iatee, Tuesday, 29 September 2009 23:02 (fourteen years ago) link
I'm pretty hard up for a receiver. I'm in a 2RB/2WR/1FLEX league; Chris Johnson, Fred Jackson, Brian Westbrook, Jonathan Stewart, Tim Hightower, Cadillac Williams are my RB's. My WR's are TJ Housh, T.O., Devey Henderson, and Devin Hester.
― Mordy, Tuesday, 29 September 2009 23:03 (fourteen years ago) link
you can get a better receiver than royal if you're willing to part w/ westbrook (/those other rbs)
― iatee, Tuesday, 29 September 2009 23:06 (fourteen years ago) link
why don't you try to trade him straight up for some tier 1 wr?
― iatee, Tuesday, 29 September 2009 23:07 (fourteen years ago) link
someone is trying to trade you scraps for a potential epic player + a solid goal-line type back. what are the other WRs this guy's got?
― omar little, Tuesday, 29 September 2009 23:08 (fourteen years ago) link
who are
He's got Calvin Johnson and Santana Moss.
― Mordy, Tuesday, 29 September 2009 23:21 (fourteen years ago) link
offer westbrook for johnson imo
― iatee, Tuesday, 29 September 2009 23:25 (fourteen years ago) link
if he won't do it, WALK
― omar little, Tuesday, 29 September 2009 23:27 (fourteen years ago) link
yeah or find someone else w/ a weaker rb corps and a top receiver and offer them a similar deal. adding royal isn't gonna fix your team.
― iatee, Tuesday, 29 September 2009 23:43 (fourteen years ago) link
He returned with Hester + Westbrook for Calvin. Should I bite?
― Mordy, Tuesday, 29 September 2009 23:46 (fourteen years ago) link
Westbrook is a 1-for-1 trade with any WR in the league. Walk.
― Johnny Fever, Tuesday, 29 September 2009 23:49 (fourteen years ago) link
if you have to offer a WR, only offer devery. he's waiver fodder anyway.
― omar little, Tuesday, 29 September 2009 23:50 (fourteen years ago) link
(imo)
Hester has been as good as Johnson so far, and doesn't have a rookie quarterback throwing to him.
― Your heartbeat soun like sasquatch feet (polyphonic), Tuesday, 29 September 2009 23:51 (fourteen years ago) link
yeah, remind me that you're concerned about the stafford situation. btw stafford has a very high-pitched voice, might want to throw that out there too.
― omar little, Tuesday, 29 September 2009 23:53 (fourteen years ago) link
drop cadillac and pick up a WR off the waiver wire.
― all yoga attacks are fire based (rogermexico.), Wednesday, 30 September 2009 00:08 (fourteen years ago) link
hmm... i'm being offered Cedric Benson for Percy Harvin
― all yoga attacks are fire based (rogermexico.), Wednesday, 30 September 2009 00:51 (fourteen years ago) link
current RBs: Matt Forte, Fred Jackson, Kevin Smith, Larry Johnson
current WRs: Calvin Johnson, Greg Jennings, Jerricho Cotchery, Patrick Crayton, Percy Harvin
― all yoga attacks are fire based (rogermexico.), Wednesday, 30 September 2009 00:53 (fourteen years ago) link
i might make that deal. benson looks like he's for real, you have at least 3 wideouts i think are superior to harvin, and your RBs all have question marks.
― omar little, Wednesday, 30 September 2009 00:55 (fourteen years ago) link
do that trade
― rather shipped (J0rdan S.), Wednesday, 30 September 2009 00:56 (fourteen years ago) link
jackson's carries are gonna go way down & LJ looks like toast
― rather shipped (J0rdan S.), Wednesday, 30 September 2009 00:57 (fourteen years ago) link
trade done, plus dumping LJ for waiver wire special of T Choice, R Williams, C Buckhalter, or D Brown depending on who's avail when my #7 rolls around
― all yoga attacks are fire based (rogermexico.), Wednesday, 30 September 2009 01:02 (fourteen years ago) link
A lot of good rb's available in your league.
― Your heartbeat soun like sasquatch feet (polyphonic), Wednesday, 30 September 2009 03:02 (fourteen years ago) link
1. 10 team league2. 2 RB, 3 WR, no flex
― all yoga attacks are fire based (rogermexico.), Wednesday, 30 September 2009 03:09 (fourteen years ago) link
i'm gonna pull the trigger on Wes Welker for Cedric Benson. That gives me Pierre Garcon, Chris Knox and Vincent Jackson with Devery Henderson on the bench and a running corp of DeAngelo Williams, Benson and Steve Slaton.Should I feel dumb?
― treyf shrimpz (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 1 October 2009 21:32 (fourteen years ago) link
actually i think i need to dump henderson and the lame gonzo so that i can pick up a spot K and QB for this week and hope they're available next week.
― treyf shrimpz (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 1 October 2009 21:36 (fourteen years ago) link
I dunno man, you seem lighter at WR than RB.
― Your heartbeat soun like sasquatch feet (polyphonic), Thursday, 1 October 2009 23:44 (fourteen years ago) link
good kicker to pick up this week?
― iatee, Saturday, 3 October 2009 18:45 (fourteen years ago) link
got a 3 o'clock decision b/n marion barber and rickey the chronic williams. :/
― bnw, Sunday, 4 October 2009 18:03 (fourteen years ago) link
I would take Chronic, personally.
― Your heartbeat soun like sasquatch feet (polyphonic), Sunday, 4 October 2009 18:44 (fourteen years ago) link
But what do I know? I am about to be eliminated from the Survival league.
― Your heartbeat soun like sasquatch feet (polyphonic), Sunday, 4 October 2009 18:49 (fourteen years ago) link
would you trade Matt Ryan and DeAngelo Williams for Peyton Manning? I have Williams/Ryan, but I also have Slaton, Cedric Benson and Ricky Williams. I'm presenting the trade, so i'm also curious if you think it's fair on both sides. Deangelo's slow getting started and I'm set at RB, but somewhat worried about Peyton coasting come week 15
― forksclovetofu, Tuesday, 6 October 2009 16:42 (fourteen years ago) link
I would do that trade in like a second.
― Your heartbeat soun like sasquatch feet (polyphonic), Tuesday, 6 October 2009 16:58 (fourteen years ago) link
on either side?
― forksclovetofu, Tuesday, 6 October 2009 17:01 (fourteen years ago) link
think i should offer one of my other RBs instead of Williams?
― forksclovetofu, Tuesday, 6 October 2009 17:02 (fourteen years ago) link
What is the QB scoring in your league? RB scoring?
― Your heartbeat soun like sasquatch feet (polyphonic), Tuesday, 6 October 2009 17:06 (fourteen years ago) link
6pt for touchdowns for either.5 receptions.5 completed pass-.5 incomplete pass30 yd passing or 15 yd rushing = 1pt.-2 for fumbles or interceptionno bonuses for long games1 qb, 3 wr, 2 rb
― forksclovetofu, Tuesday, 6 October 2009 17:16 (fourteen years ago) link
i suppose i could offer him ryan and ricky williams and see, but that's kind of insulting. Dude is 1 and 3 and clearly needs a change. His starting RBs are Leon Washington and Tashard Choice.
― forksclovetofu, Tuesday, 6 October 2009 17:22 (fourteen years ago) link
Maybe throw in a third player. I don't think I'd do that trade with Williams + Ryan either.
― Your heartbeat soun like sasquatch feet (polyphonic), Tuesday, 6 October 2009 17:34 (fourteen years ago) link
hm, now that i'm looking at his lineup, he's also got westbrook and felix jones. He's gonna need solid red meat to make it work. I think i'm okay doing it with williams and ryan; I love ryan but peyton's looking at a career year and the carolina offense has looked piss poor thus far. Benson and Slaton look okay to me and Williams is a reasonable backup.
Am i foolin' myself?
― forksclovetofu, Tuesday, 6 October 2009 17:39 (fourteen years ago) link
yes
― iatee, Tuesday, 6 October 2009 18:13 (fourteen years ago) link
I mean, manning is possibly the most reliable fantasy player of all time and he's already having a great year - deangelo and ryan are young guys who aren't really looking like top 5 rb/qbs. it would be a big risk on his part.
maybe it's just me, but if I had manning right now, someone would have to offer me something absurd to pry him out of my hands
