xp to jeff, yeah i figured it was viral when i got it after playing just one single game, a 10 min deathmatch in algonquin with no radar blips, in which i saw only two other players, one who killed me and one whom i killed.

what does it mean, a viral achievement ?

well it sucks in the fact that what they've named the achievement is actually nothing of the sort, and therefore seems largely a waste of time.

and just a little bug, if you ever want to take advantage of it, I found last night, whilst taking random cars to Stevie's garage.

Supposedly you get full wack for a tip top condition car. I found out that if you just ever so slightly give your car a little dent (just a really slow collision into something will do), you get almost $500 more on top of the max payment.

Well, they've renamed that too, apparently. It was "kill a rockstar employee", now it's just "kill a rockstar".

Since they changed that achievement multiplayer has been working perfectly for me, I used to get disconnected from about 4 out of 5 matches before, so they seem to have sorted that out at the same time, which is fantastic.

No ladyzombie outfit though :(.

Have been playing a lot of free mode on multiplayer recently. Of course you can just tool around the city in single player but it's somehow more fun when there's other real life people there, even if they're just strangers. Of course you get more than a fair share of twats just trying to turn it into deathmatch; but I've had some good times, just driving round, picking people up, heading into the museum to fuck shit up, getting police stars and teaming up to fight off the cops...

I played multiplayer for the first time on my own xbox live account today. The very first person I shot gave me the rockstar achievement.

how many people are on the servers max? question relates especially to freemode

I dunno, sometimes when it's full of twats and I've tried to leave and join a new game, it's dumped me back in the same one repeatedly, which suggests fewer than 16 people. Which can't be right. Why do you wanna know?

I hated that mission too. Not a brick to be found 500 yds away from that place.

I kept getting frustrated this weekend losing missions, so I just played suicide bomber. Walk into a traffic jam, stand between a couple of cars, pull the pin... the death scenes for explosions and death-by-cop are intense. I detonated myself off of the Empire State Building at one point, and the screen faded out before I ever hit the ground.

You know what would be awesome? a (spoiler)(/spoiler) tag for ILG that just makes the text color white (or the same as whatever your background is) so to read it, you could have to highlight he text and/or copy it to a notepad depending on your browser.

I have gradually reluctantly learnt the names of everyone I will kill later in the game just from people all over the Internet half-assedly going "yeah I did that in the bit just before spoiler you beat Michelle to death with a bat in front of her parents" and shit, it's not that easy to violently jerk your head away from the screen and hurriedly scroll down every time

Yesterday a Policeman saw me shooting a cab driver through the windshield so I could claim the fare back, but the cab driver did the foot-jammed-on-the-horn thing and whizzed round in a perfect little arc to smash the cop up against his own car. I went to bed and came back to find the wrecked taxi still there, full of mah money.

I have a suit and the second island, so the autosave cockup is a distant memory.

i keep finding random money, there was some at the AutoErotica shop for ages even when I went away and came back. And then ther was some in my apartment.

Gah I just got arrested FOR THE FIRST TIME, having completed the story. (Ok I did get arrested v early on but I reloaded an earlier game 'cause I didn't want to lose the gun I'd just been given).

haha, yeah it's a killer ain't it. I couldn't handle my unlucky arrest-losing-hundreds-of-weapons and so just reloaded prev game, which meant the redoing of a few difficult missions and hidden packages and lots of other things. No fucking way was i losing my gunz man.

i was arrested mid-mission but hitting the button to get into my car and having Niko swing round and promptly try to jack a passing police cruiser :(

Yeah I've had a go with that, it's actually pretty scary! I haven't yet figured out exactly how it works so I can't get the massive catapult effect every time. But, in single player, if you back your car in then you won't fly out of the windscreen.
