I already said I'm f'n going like 2 days ago, just have to drop the rig off at home first. I probably won't be there until like 5:30-6 at the early end.

dan m, Thursday, 6 December 2007 22:16 (sixteen years ago) link

i will be there around 5:15 5:30?

chicago kevin, Thursday, 6 December 2007 22:18 (sixteen years ago) link

i need to get some motherlovin' kleenex, i'm done and whenever the hvac comes on my eyes and nose start watering something fierce. i'm like buckingham fucking fountain over here.

chicago kevin, Thursday, 6 December 2007 22:19 (sixteen years ago) link

J & J are going as well.

dan m, Thursday, 6 December 2007 22:19 (sixteen years ago) link

x Pretttyyyy.

KitCat, Thursday, 6 December 2007 22:20 (sixteen years ago) link

thanks for the kleenex dan!

chicago kevin, Thursday, 6 December 2007 22:20 (sixteen years ago) link

I want to go, but then I also don't. Katie invited me to someplace, and I said no, but that was someplace on a certain part of town that is hard to get to/from and OT is so convenient....I dunno.

Jesse, Thursday, 6 December 2007 22:21 (sixteen years ago) link

Go ahead. Give in. Beer! Beer!

dan m, Thursday, 6 December 2007 22:22 (sixteen years ago) link

is OT cash only?

stingy, Thursday, 6 December 2007 22:23 (sixteen years ago) link

They will take pretty much any form of payment you have. You could probably arrange to pay with a kidney if you were in dire financial straits but still wanted a watery beer.

dan m, Thursday, 6 December 2007 22:24 (sixteen years ago) link

Sweet, looking forward to it. Like I said earlier, I'll be there around 6.

jaymc, Thursday, 6 December 2007 22:25 (sixteen years ago) link

The Obama thing tomorrow just got weirder: MACY GRAY is now headlining.

jaymc, Thursday, 6 December 2007 22:26 (sixteen years ago) link

You know she and Tweed will do those "do do do"s on the Third Eye Blind song at the end.

Eazy, Thursday, 6 December 2007 22:27 (sixteen years ago) link

mucca pazza sound okay on myspace (moreso the slavicish tunes), but i'm not a fan of the whole wacky marching band circus image.

Jordan, Thursday, 6 December 2007 22:34 (sixteen years ago) link

slavish?

Jordan, Thursday, 6 December 2007 22:36 (sixteen years ago) link

I HAVE ACCOMPLISHED THINGS TODAY

- billing
- appeasement
- entering
- making sense of a room
- eating
---Trader Joes caramel filled chocolates, topped with crunchy rock salt
---peppermint bark
- getting some underpaid Mexicans some checks

Jesse, Thursday, 6 December 2007 22:39 (sixteen years ago) link

yeah, it seems kinda corny and makes me wish they were actually a little more humorless in their presentation.

have fun tonight, goobers. wish i could join you.

La Lechera, Thursday, 6 December 2007 23:13 (sixteen years ago) link

i am going to a high school basketball game tonight!

Jordan, Thursday, 6 December 2007 23:16 (sixteen years ago) link

Is she a cheerleader or on the team?

Eazy, Friday, 7 December 2007 01:20 (sixteen years ago) link

Trader Joes caramel filled chocolates, topped with crunchy rock salt

(i'm friends with the coach)

Jordan, Friday, 7 December 2007 03:22 (sixteen years ago) link

It could snow 9 months out the year and I would be a happy man. I swear I'm not just (only) being contrary, but I get outdoors more in moderate winter weather than I do in any other season/weather, especially when it's snowing. Tonight I stayed on the train a couple stops and walked home in the snizzy.

Jesse, Friday, 7 December 2007 03:52 (sixteen years ago) link

i walked home from division and swore outloud to no one in particular the whole way home. i also stopped at picante and now have heartburn like you wouldn't believe.

so worth it though.

chicago kevin, Friday, 7 December 2007 05:35 (sixteen years ago) link

I love the snow too. I don't like the ice and slush though. It makes me tense up my leg muscles and walk slowly and humorously, leading to much soreness.

KitCat, Friday, 7 December 2007 14:43 (sixteen years ago) link

Can anyone recommend a good cat sitter? I wanted to use the same company we used for the honeymoon, but they haven't called us back, so I'm thinking they are booked up already.

KitCat, Friday, 7 December 2007 15:07 (sixteen years ago) link

No, sorry. Kenan is my cat-sitter.

Hey Colette? I don't have your email address (is your ILX email the useable?) but I have terrible news: I was on call at Catch and now I'm working. (Which is bad news, but it's also good b/c my checking acct. is going to go in the red in a few days b/c I'm so damn dumb as hell.)

Jesse, Friday, 7 December 2007 15:26 (sixteen years ago) link

reasons why it pays to get to know your neighbors:

-she is cat-sitting for me over xmas

-he is recording guitar tracks for a digd0wn remix

we just need to work out the laundry thing and then we'll be straight.

Jordan, Friday, 7 December 2007 15:36 (sixteen years ago) link

I feel like as soon as I meet a neighbor, they move away. I hope that says nothing bad about me. ha ha But seriously, there is so much turn over in our building.

KitCat, Friday, 7 December 2007 15:43 (sixteen years ago) link

btw, it turns out high school girls aren't very good at basketball

Jordan, Friday, 7 December 2007 15:48 (sixteen years ago) link

Fuck you, my alma mater made it to the state finals last year.

jaymc, Friday, 7 December 2007 15:50 (sixteen years ago) link

I'll get on that.

jaymc, Friday, 7 December 2007 15:54 (sixteen years ago) link

Fuck you, my alma mater made it to the state finals last year.

-- jaymc, Friday, 7 December 2007 15:50 (2 minutes ago) Link

but that doesn't disprove jordan's theory. they could be the best of a bad lot, it wouldn't make them very good.

that said, jordan is full of shit on this one.

chicago kevin, Friday, 7 December 2007 15:55 (sixteen years ago) link

that video makes me so happy

n/a, Friday, 7 December 2007 15:57 (sixteen years ago) link

ha, that is pretty awesome

xpost

Jordan, Friday, 7 December 2007 15:57 (sixteen years ago) link

100% of the girls' high school basketball teams i've seen in the last five years are bad

Jordan, Friday, 7 December 2007 15:58 (sixteen years ago) link

OK, a little help here. My boss just emailed me

"What is on each of your Christmas wish lists?"

How do I answer that??

Jesse, Friday, 7 December 2007 16:02 (sixteen years ago) link

Is this your friend, Jordan?

jaymc, Friday, 7 December 2007 16:03 (sixteen years ago) link

she's a little prettier, and more masculine

Jordan, Friday, 7 December 2007 16:05 (sixteen years ago) link

This is causing roffles

Jenny says

Is there something that you could use at work that you might ask for? Like, is your office always cold? You could ask for a blanket. Do you get thirsty while typing? You could ask for a beer hat so you could drink diet coke without taking your hands off the keyboard. Is your butt dirty? You could ask her to install a bidet in the bathroom.

Christians be getting riled up about this stupid looking Goldan Compass movie.

jon /via/ chi 2.0, Friday, 7 December 2007 16:22 (sixteen years ago) link

The Christians who make the news are frequently completely cuckoo for cocoa puffs.

Laurel, Friday, 7 December 2007 16:23 (sixteen years ago) link

GoldEn, obviously. My typing is for shit today. The Yahoo user reviews are hilarious.

jon /via/ chi 2.0, Friday, 7 December 2007 16:25 (sixteen years ago) link

Yeah, when someone mentioned it at lunch one day - where by mention I mean just got through saying half the title - one lady yelled out, "That movie is anti-Christ!"

KitCat, Friday, 7 December 2007 16:27 (sixteen years ago) link

Gooooooooooooldan

ah, for the days of changeable screen names...

dan m, Friday, 7 December 2007 16:28 (sixteen years ago) link

Apparently the movie totally mellowed down the atheistic leanings but the Christians are worried that kids who see the movie will want to read the books, which are apparently much more obvious in being anti-church and anti-religion in general, especially the second and third books in the trilogy.

n/a, Friday, 7 December 2007 16:29 (sixteen years ago) link

Damn right. I don't want my kids doing any of that "reading" or "thinking".

jon /via/ chi 2.0, Friday, 7 December 2007 16:31 (sixteen years ago) link

i'm having a backlash against "really good!" YA books lately, but that makes me want to read it

Jordan, Friday, 7 December 2007 16:32 (sixteen years ago) link

What YA books caused the backlash, Jordan?
