i seem to remember a red bull academy video interview with harvey where he laughs about some of his edits going for $300+ on ebay. dude really does look and (sort of) acts like jeff bridges in big lebowski.

you know, 'cosmic' wasn't the track I was after upthread! maybe it was the flipside of the black cock track that renard posted. in flagranti bro played the original source material on friday night, it was a treat.

daer sanskrit did you get the $6 ezarchive account or the $30 and do it work good

thx

ysi is dead to me

dmr (Renard), Saturday, 2 September 2006 14:50 (seventeen years ago) link

i got the $6 one to try it out. got another $6 one to host an 80mb file. you have to hack the html code it spits out to direct link, but its easier than .mac (and much cheaper)

mr. brojangles (sanskrit), Monday, 4 September 2006 12:20 (seventeen years ago) link

cool I think I will try it

I kept hitting the bandwidth limit on .Mac even though I upgraded, so I canceled it.

oops, gravy train's over
it's hard out there for a blogger

Have you heard? EZArchive is going Swiss! Beginning October 15, 2006, EZArchive will be upgrading to a brand-new system, which has been developed in Switzerland and will bring with it some long-needed bandwidth controls.

how was morimoto

Steve Shasta, Thursday, 13 December 2007 16:37 (sixteen years ago) link

well it was a big group thing, so more shared dishes, no omakase. a lot of that rock shrimp / miso cod all the nobu clones have and people always order.

i remember the kobe carpaccio and yellowtail pastrami were amazing. angry chicken was a big dud, kind of pointless. had a couple good sushi pieces at the end, uni was great, as was the live octopus and snow crab. was so bloated and full i ended up missing dazzle ships :(

coolest thing there are the pre-warmed toilet seats with robotic bidet built inside.

dear sanskrit,

are you still drinking oskar blues beers or have you gotten sick of them? I realized one day I could taste a strong hint of the alcohol in them all of a sudden and stopped buying.

El Tomboto, Wednesday, 2 July 2008 03:19 (fifteen years ago) link

I'm not sanskrit but I'm sort of sick of em

partly related to a fateful night at union pool with a celebrity wakeboarder and many dales pales

kind of a metallicky aftertaste

dmr, Wednesday, 2 July 2008 06:31 (fifteen years ago) link

daer tom,

i don't know oskar blues. maybe it was dales pales? i had a brief two month fling with those and got sick of the ultrahoppiness. i guess they could be revisited.

dear jw,

i don't know shit about preschools. i really should. some lady in the park this weekend told me kids have to be 4 before 12/31 to be able to go to public school pre-k this fall.

sanskrit, Wednesday, 2 July 2008 12:22 (fifteen years ago) link

oskar blues is the brewery that makes dales

hey sanskrit,
how much should i worry about LP sleeves with mold spots? nothing egregious, ive just bought a couple old records lately with some slightly moldy covers. i keep them in my apt w AC, and i keep everything in plastic sleeves. what other precautions should i take, if any? am i overreacting? underreacting?

love,
pete

ill open this up to the room

69, Monday, 7 July 2008 19:38 (fifteen years ago) link

i wouldnt worry about it. if its polybagged shouldnt be an issue. i've heard people claim mold can travel but i think it's only a major concern if you live in a super humid climate.
