Yeah, I didn't want to imply there's any "thing" going on, what I meant is that if a mod thought Roxy banning you was a problem, maybe he should've emailed you two first to see if there is any problem, or at least informed Roxy about all this. I don't think mod powers should be abused, but this sort of silent "retaliation" (if that is indeed what happened) instead of talking with the participants seems rather odd to me too.

again, i am not the mod who made this decision, but it looks like you are saying that roxy banning her fellow mod w/o notification was acceptable behavior, but the violation (or as you call it "playground tactic") here is a sitewide responding to the situation demodding roxy w/o notification?

It was not "retaliation". Neither was it retaliation.

A board mod abused her powers. Those powers were removed. End of story. It is self-evident that not all of the boards are modded the same way and that behavior that would make sense on IRE or ITR would not be appropriate on ILTMI.

If both of you feel comfortable having roxy as mod of the board and she still wants to be a mod, her powers can be reinstated.

No, I'm not saying banning Kate was acceptable behaviour. Like I already said in the previous two posts, I don't think mod powers should ever be abused (even in a joking manner), but I can't see why the response to that needed to be like this. I think it would've been more constructive to first contact Roxy and Kate about the whole thing before making any decision to de-mod anyone.

It would have been nice had this whole conversation (starting with site mods telling me how I was banned from mine own board) been more transparent to those actually affected at the time, rather than a 105 post clusterfuck, but you know, too late now.
