Facebook is working fine for me. Possibly too well.

What's the rule about letting people go? Is there a notification that gets sent to them?

apparently not - when i mentioned upthread that i had accepted a friend req from an old moronic ex out of politeness CJ (i think) told me that you can unfriend people and they don't get a notification.

A coworker of mine got a friend request (wich she accepted) from on old friend of her brothers (old as in they hadn't seen each other in years). He then proceed to send an unsolicited email to another (rather attractive) coworker of mine; whom he'd never even met before!
neither of the girls were amused.
i was tho.

people from school friending me and the snowball effect (once you accept their request you feel you should anyone else on their list you also went to school with) is freaking me out right now.

nobody from my school seems to be on it. I am assuming this is because I'm old.

that doesn't matter at all - you can just search by name. some lovely old friends have found me in this way.

I have joined both my primary school and secondary school groups today and it has pretty much confirmed what I said upthread; there is only one person in the secondary school group that I know, the vast majority are either at uni now or graduated in the last couple of years.

umm, my facebook news feed is going crazy. It's saying things like "9 of your friends have written on so-and-so's wall", when like one person has actually written on it.

What's the deal? Have other people noticed this? oh god.

Okay someone from school has just tried to friend me - I've not seen him since the age of 16. Usually I am prepared to give people from school the benefit of the doubt, even if I didn't like them at the time. Then I read his profile, including choice cuts like:

"Religious Views: 102% agnostic -2% catholic 100% millwall"

"Favorite Books: Do androids dream of electic sheep? other than that
biographies of heroes of mine.
The bible, because it's really really funny.

and in particular:

As I said, I am usually willing to give people from school the benefit of the doubt - in this case I am considering deleting my Facebook profile, leaving the country and having reconstructive surgery so that he can never find me.

Today I sent a msg to an old housemate of mine from Canberra. I'm pretty sure its him, he has an unusual name. I hope he replies, it'd be cool to catch up with him.
