I was sorta just thinking that. Like, "yeah, way to influence the will of the people with your persuasive rhetoric" and "ooh, aren't we cool with our christian principles and beliefs". That'll show em!

wot, you don't like your military puppets doing the disbelieving and arms-crossed-across-chest stances? even when they uncomfortably have a fully loaded M4 slung around their neck like any other accessory?
Actually, i figured you would have had a stronger reaction to the sexy war story thing currently bannered on DbD.

Upthread... they're trying to pull the Iraq rug out from under the US troops 'cause Iraq is all the troops have to stand on and if Iraq disappears the troops will fall over? Maybe it would make more sense if the dude was an Iraqi and the rug was the troops.
Maybe I'm missing something, I have been drinking. (I know the Day by Day cartoon would make no more sense sober though.)

Stocks plunge; Dow falls more than 400
By JOE BEL BRUNO, AP Business Writer 37 minutes ago
NEW YORK - Wall Street suffered its biggest plunge of the year Thursday, leading global markets lower as investors fled stocks amid increasing uneasiness about the mortgage and corporate lending markets. The Dow Jones industrials briefly fell nearly 450 points, while Treasury yields plunged as investors moved money into bonds.
Investors who had been able to shrug off discomfort about subprime mortgage problems and a more difficult environment for corporate borrowing appeared to finally succumb to those concerns after another disappointing home sales report from the Commerce Department early Thursday. The Dow surpassed the 416 points it lost on Feb. 27 after a nearly 10 percent decline in Chinese stock markets.
