A few months after I broke up with my then-BF I suggested he take me out for a drink to celebrate my birthday, we moved in six months later! I love internet crushes! I totally had one on him the first time I saw a photo, even though I was taken (by a douche, so it was okay to emotionally cheat). I say go for it and don't feel bad! I never liked hot guys seeing what I looked like either but they all love me & I'm sure this dude (if a sensible type) thinks you're crushable too!

I think I finally broke the habit of getting internet crushes on women after the last one which ended in a broken engagement after a whirlwind courtship that, looking back on it, made ZERO sense. I'm basically asexual online and off at this point.

For years I was like "Wah! I get internet crushes on people and they never get internet crushes on meeee!" But then this past year I became the focus of a really quite intense internet crush by someone else. Which went Horribly Wrong and led to 4 months of stalking culminating in harassment and doxxing to the point where I had to get the police involved. So now if I see anything on social media with even a whiff of flirting I get paranoid and freak out and insist on shutting that down FAST. Which probably isn't any healthier a behaviour than walking about with giant heaving crushes on everyone.

So you know *shrug emoji* and no more crushes and concentrating my energy on the idea of sex with robots.
