tattoos are sooo hot but i don't think i'll ever have the gumption to get one

I live in tattoo central but I've never had one and the only one that tempts me would be very discreet, but I couldn't care less what other people do and some of them are really quite pretty. I kind of worry what they'll look like when they're old, though.

I've got a bunch, but nothing that can't be covered if necessary - no face, hands, or neck. I do like to have ones that are humorous to some level, not like stupid jokes but something that means something to me. More often than not the person putting it on kind of scratches their head or laughs or at least says that they've never done a tattoo of this before.

Good ink is hot, no doubt. Bad ink, on the other hand....

Tasteful and well done tattoos can be sexy but they must also be well cared for and retouched when necessary. When I'm old it won't matter because they're in discreet places, I probably won't care and if I do then removal will probably be quick and cheap.

i have been pondering a tattoo for about 2 years now. but not really sure what i would get.

it would:
1. be assymetrical
2. i think something down the back of my neck and across one shoulder blade would be cool, but am leery about neck tattoos in my old age
3. be an original design by blaine fontana, if ever possible.

ramzi, i also think good tattoos are super hot, esp on the right people. i'm trying to convince my bf to get one up his calf, since he has super sexy mountain-biker legs, and is also just one of those guys who would look hot with tattoos.

and i know this sounds lame and you can all laugh at me and warn me about the longterm risks, but i would also seriously have my bf's initials subtley weaved into my tattoo design.

RR - despite most people warning against it, I got my bf's name as/in one of my tatoos when we'd only been together a year. That was 2002 and he's now my husband.

yeah... if i had even the slightest doubt we wouldn't last the distance there's no way in hell i'd even think twice about it. but ya know - i'm sure about this one!
