Um, not to be snippy, but your answer is a bit vague.
It's like pointing at the universe and saying "the answer is there."
Please point me in the right direction.

My answer is vague because the question is pointless. If there is going to be a next big phenomenon, chances are that it won't take the shape you expect it to nor appear when you want it to. Moreover, it needn't happen at all.

A watched pot never boils and all that. Go on with your lives. If it happens, chance are that you'll notice.

that's the point i think. you can't reinvent rock with a rock band that sounds like everything before it. that's why nobody really cares about the whole "garage rock revolution".
