Anyway, new Twilight Singers album just leaked. Haven't listened yet.

FYI, if you preorder it on subpop.com you get to hear a stream of the album. The leak is someone's recording of that stream.

Can't wait to hear this, I think I"m the only person alive who likes Twilight Singers more than the Afghan Whigs.

it's sort of paced like blackberry belle, by which i mean: excellently. i think a lot of effort was put into the sound of this thing, which, dulli knows how to carry a mood, definitely, but sonically this record is a terrifying dark current. don't really know what i'm trying to say. still in awe.

i relistened to powder burns the other week and the first half it absolutely makes you think it is the best twilight singers and maybe the best dulli-related album ever

then "my time (has come)" happens

tbh i think he struggled with second sides through the entire period of powder burns -> do to the beast. they all get a little less distinguished in the back half, even though they finish strongly
