Theme: Lyrics: John Bettis Music : Steve Dorff Sung by: B.J. Thomas B.J. Thomas & Jennifer Warnes B.J. Thomas & Dusty Springfield (This version was on the Charts in 1989) ??? (a capella version)
Words:
Show me that smile again don't waste another minute on your cryin' We're nowhere near the end, the best is ready to begin.
As long as we got each other, we've got the world spinning right in our hands.
Baby, you and me, we gotta be the luckiest dreamers who never quit dreamin'
As long as we keep on givin' We can take anything that comes our way
Baby, rain or shine, all the time We've got each other, sharing the laughter and love.
Reunion: A GP reunion took place on the Alan Thicke comedy 'Hope & Gloria' in the first season (1995) episode 'The Face with two Men' (episode #10). Kerns, Cameron and Miller appeared as themselves, Thicke had a dual role (himself and his H&G-character Dennis). Tracey Gold did not appear in this episode, it was said 'she's off doing a special'. The basic story of this episode: To help the declining show, Hope tries to get the Growing Pains cast on the 'Dennis Dupree Show', despite the fact that Dennis absolutely can't stand Alan Thicke.
The spin-off series 'Just the Ten of Us'
The two-parter 'How the West was Won' (ep.069/070) is kind of a pilot for the sitcom 'Just the Ten of Us' which lasted for two seasons (88-90) and tells about Coach Lubbock's life in Eureka, California. He has taken on the job as a teacher and coach at the St. Augustine's, a catholic school for boys which also his kids (mostly daughters!) attend. The start there isn't exactly perfect: The Coach finds out about the school, the house is devastated and then he learns that he hasn't got the job because they needed a teacher but because his friend Duane (who he once coached to success) who's working there provided it after he talked with Elisabeth and got hold of the Coach's situation.
The creators are Steve Marshall and Dan Guntzelman, Executive Producer, beside the creators, is also Mike Sullivan. All three also worked as Executive Producer on Growing Pains.

Another connection is from the movie Crossroads. One of Britney's co-stars was a young actor named Justin Long. Justin is now on a series called "Ed". "Ed" isproduced by a gentleman named Timothy Busfeild. Timothy co starred with Tracey Gold in her direct to video movie titled "Wanted".
Think this is it? nope not even close.
Alan Thicke's son Robin is a songwriter/producer. Robin wrote and produced a song for Christine Aguilera's debut cd. Christina co starred with Britney on "The NewMickey Mouse Club".
Now, my children was watching "All That" a couple weeks ago and when I walked in the room the ending credits were on. Kevin Tracy's (Growing Pains Crew) waslisted on the credits. I am hoping to capture that tonight and show it with you all.
and haha I gotta do it. The last and final connection Ms. Spears has with Growing Pains (that I have found so far) is her ex boyfreind Justin Timberlake was datingAlyssa Miliano from "Who's the boss" for awhile. Alyssa co-starred with Alan Thicke and Tracey Gold in "Dance til Dawn" and I have heard from several peopleTracey was once on "Who's the boss" as one of Sam's freinds. I have never found this episode or anything official to verify it.
So there you have it. 6 ways Britney Spears and Growing Pains are connected. Now maybe you have a better understanding of how this game is played. Isn't itamazing how all things are connected?

It's up to Hope to convince Gloria's caustic former boss Cookie to take her back. Meanwhile, Louis stays over at Gloria's to tend ailing Sonny.
"A Fine ROM-ance"
Goaded by Dennis into finding a men man via computer, Hope drags a reluctant Gloria on a double blind date - and finds Gloria's match more to her liking.

Hope becomes convinced that her father is Bill Anderson, the real name of actor Adam West of Batman fame, unaware that her mother insists it was another actor. Meanwhile, Dennis's lawyer accompanies Dennis and Gloria on a date to insure against charges of sexual harassment.
"Love With an Improper Stranger"
A lonely Hope spends the night with a handsome stranger, but it's possible that she's in for more of a relationship than she bargained for - he may be her brother. Distraught Hope does the unforgivable: she forgets to enter Dennis in the local Emmy Award competition, which he is sure he will win after 23 years of being passed over.
"The Face with Two Men"
The new station manager orders Hope to arrange a Growing Pains reunion show, but there's a problem - Dennis refuses to be in the same room with his rival, Alan Thicke. Meanwhile, Scott, the little boy Gloria used to baby-sit turns up, grown up and still infatuated with her.
"Sisyphus, Prometheus and Me"gs: Burt Reynolds [ Himself ]
Gloria learns she's pregnant and contemplates a third marriage to Louis - a decision that could be advantageous for new station manager Gwillem who persuades them to have the ceremony live on the show. But the minister slated to conduct the nuptials doesn't show and is replaced by guest Burt Reynolds, while Hope, locked in the prop room, struggles desperately to get Gloria an important message from her doctor.
"Don't Take Any Wooden Elephants"
Hope's upset when Gwillem 'asks' her to care for his pampered poodle, so she attempts to play a practical joke on him - which, of course, backfires big time when she steals one of his prized wooden elephants without realizing the nature of its contents.
"A Midsummer Night's Trim"
Gloria finds Hope's lack of faith in her the unkindest cut of all after Hope reveals she's having recurring nightmares of Gloria ruining her hair. They agree to consult a therapist and dream expert appearing on the show in hopes of identifying the source of Hope's neurotic fear. Meanwhile, Dennis insists on hosting a show-length infomercial for a male enhancement device, and Louis discusses diet with Gloria's next-door neighbor Scott. 2nd Season 1995

"How to Get an Ed in Business"Swoosie Kurtz [ Herself ]

Vancouver, British Columbia (CNN) -- Police are asking for public assistance in locating actor Andrew Koenig, who is best known for appearing in the 1980s sitcom "Growing Pains."
Koenig, 41, lives in Venice, California, but was visiting friends in Vancouver, police said in a statement Sunday. Friends last saw him on February 14. He was supposed to return home last Tuesday, and Vancouver police were notified Thursday that he had not arrived.
"Andrew has recently been despondent and his family and friends are concerned for his well-being," the police statement said.
Koenig was described as being 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing 135 pounds, with brown shoulder-length hair and brown eyes, authorities said. Anyone with information on his whereabouts was asked to notify police.
Koenig appeared in 25 episodes of "Growing Pains" from 1985 to 1989, playing Richard "Boner" Stabone, according to the Internet Movie Database Web site. He also has appeared in episodes of several other TV shows.
