But w. Utopian systems is the urge to make imporvemnes be limited ? It seems that they have all these neat ideas about x and then when the ideas work for one narrow circumstance the ytry to smother everything in it ?

A utopia wouldn't last more than a minute before someone decided it was a bit boring, probably that person would be Dave Q :)

Yea, a utopia would not be diverse in any way. It would be sterile and constant, no questions. I just can't ever see it working.

nineteen years pass...

is there any recommended reading about the sordid history of Eugenics around the globe, and religion's role in rebelling against the idea of eugenics (i.e. forced sterilizations) and the prevailing scientific consensus of the time?

I've been suggested this as a video from an American perspective, but I know it stretched well beyond our borders: https://www.amazon.com/gp/video/detail/0RIEQ8M91S92YINO5UQDYSFH9W/ref=share_ios_movie

A weird nexus between 'progressives' trying to create a better world mixing with out-&-out racists/fascists

I'm afraid it's not just history but probably has a real future, i.e. in the realm of designer babies, etc.
