Does all the money Boomers lose in Native-owned casinos count as reparations?

Non-Boomers too, of course; I just thought I'd add some clash-of-generations idiocy to the discussion.

I um...also don't own property but side note, much like libraries don't accept donations because they don't need 10000000 John Grisham mass markets, I submit that specific Indian/First Nations people probably don't want to take care of your house in the suburbs or whatever. I bet there are specific "land back" policies and advocacy requests that we could all be helpful with, though!

I have often thought this, and imho it absolutely does.

there's a local parking lot that's expected to be "ceded" to an indigenous-affiliated land trust because it somehow costs the city less than selling it off to a developer (largely because the land trust is footing most of the bill). https://www.berkeleyside.org/2024/03/12/berkeley-shellmound-spengers-lot-sogorea-te-settlement

None of the Belgae, Celtic or Germanic tribes still have legal representation here, but it would be funny to put them in my will.

I’m sure they’d be happy to sell it and pocket the money. Or you could instruct the executor of your will to do that and then donate the money.
