Some of that I might characterize more as "balearic"? I don't know, edges are blurry. Going to go through this and probably add a bunch to a spotify playlist I have called BalCosLoft which I describe as "Started as a mish-mash of Balearic, Cosmic and Loft classics. Then it got bigger as I followed my own taste and threads into italo disco, house/techno, post-punk and other diversions. Should work in order, but free free to shuffle...better than any hotel lobby playlist."

yeah some of the songs like “why” and “masimbabele” could work in either Balearic or cosmic sets imho - definitely a fair bit of crossover between the two

thanks for sharing that playlist! i had the jon & vangelis “state of independence” in my set list but didn’t play it

just grabbed a bunch from your playlist which lead me to some other playlists. Bascially the playlist starts and ends with Brian Biggs Aeo, and everything after Aeo2 I just haven't slotted into the playlist. Like, I'm really happy with the flow of this playlist, even though it's 17 hours long!
