DRRRESSES: WANT

OMG I swear I didn't fuck that up so it linked to a pug on purpose!

Yeah every dress i liked was $170-175 except for the silent surrealist dress ($50) but I look really bad in gray :(

There used to be someone recreating really mod dresses to size, to order. I had the site bookmarked 10 years ago, but left that job and have never been able to find it again, probably not still in business.

The dresses were all like those two: color-blocked, some with cut-outs or clear vinyl panels, etc. Never could afford to order one at the time, but I do love those two you put up, Erica!

i don't really like the mod dresses, but i love the more sort of summery/cutesy dresses on that site.

I wear dresses at home. I have specific sundress type ones that I only wear at home actually.

yeah me too. one is kinda like the one you posted, but its like stretchy at the top and has like inch-wide straps. i wear it to do housework and chill and stuff like that. once i hiked in it.

Yeah, I do the same minus the hiking but should try that sometime.

if you get the right dress it can be really freeing

the right type of dress/skirt is more comfortable to me than pants in general so I could easily see that being the case

yeah i wear sundresses at home. but i feel like i have to be all put together if i wear a dress out of the house and then it feels too put together.

thats what cardigans are for! sometimes a dress on its own needs like jewelry and nice shoes and stuff. but most dresses you can just throw a cute cardi over top and put on some sandals and you're good to go.

my MIL bought a dress last weekend: $!6 on sale from some fancy designer store. too conservative to bother posting on this thread tho ;)

Thersa, I'm a little concerned about the Kors dress -- I like it but it might not define enough. Counting on the sleevelessness of the others to show some proportion, and I might not cut the McCall's one quite as full as it's shown.

Haha don't count my dresses before they're, uh...patched? There are a lot of steps in between here and there....
