I…didn’t take that from that. Charles Johnson is insanely wealthy. He could easily afford to spend more on the team if he felt like it, instead of contributing to Christian fundamentalist super PACs or whatever the fuck he does with his money. Also, the Belt mention at the end stung because they paid Joc twice as much to be half as good and to hang out in the clubhouse playing cards. Will forever hate the decision to let Belt walk.

Tom Murphy, Lee and Soler…that’s a lot of improvement to a bad lineup from last year.

The offense was a problem but I think most of it had to do with the opener or maybe no pitching.

Still the staff, so far, this year leaves a lot to be desired.

Still very excited for this year, as there is nothing like Baseball!

Davis now can be claimed by another organization, with the Giants getting only salary relief. Last year's starting third baseman is owed $6.9 million this season after beating the Giants in an arbitration hearing last month, but because he went to a hearing, the Giants can potentially release him and pay a prorated portion of that salary if he is not claimed.

Learning something new, so they release him and only pay a small fee.

Someone will pick him up. I’d be really surprised if the Mariners don’t try for him.

No one picked up JD Davis and so the Giants released him saving almost six million. Nice move Zaidi, the Giants already had a rough time signing players and this will definitely help.

Yeah woke up to that news and it's been bugging me all day. Her voice is pure joy and a major texture that contributes to the great experience of going to the park. This feels either petty or cheap - I can't really be convinced of any other motive here. It also shows how completely out of with the fans the org is at this stage which isn't going to help put buts in seats.

That fucking sucks. She was also pretty amazing as a morning show DJ back in the 00s.

Snell to the Giants. At least some good news to distract from the bad yesterday. Rotation is legitimately one of the best in the league now. Could make some noise in the post season if they make it that far.

2 year deal with an opt out though. Win now situation, which is weird to say about this team. Would have probably preferred a 2-3 year deal to at least have some stability there, but with Ray coming back in the 2nd half and Harrison hopefully improving, perhaps Snell leaving in the off season won't be a huge concern.

Ok, I need to talk about this first series, as the fat tomorrow is just playing on house money.

Game 1: Webb and Darvish were dealing. Our bullpen guy was pitching batting practice, game was 59/50.

Game 2: Harrison can pitch, what a debut for 2024. Chapman can make a difference.

Game 3: Hicks experiment could work out and this team also has Snell?

Jung Hoo Lee is already my favorite Giant.

It’s such a shock to see them hitting well. They were dead at the plate last year. I loved Tom Murphy when he was a Mariner and if he stays healthy he’s *always* a problem in the lineup.

Jordan Hicks had a great start: 7 innings, 1 ER, 90 pitches. Really think he could go 8 against a worse lineup. I assume he’s not coming out for the 8th.
