I really tried with these guys, but I guess I was expecting the ratio of drone to traditional Irish stuff to lean more heavily in the former.

I'm liking this a lot on first listen. Like a lot of neo-folk stuff I wish any of the new rhythm sections could play like Fairport's or Pentangle's. They just end up sounding like rock.

CYRM Vinyl album ends on a locked groove of noise and drone.

Scott Walker track would be YMMR levels of trouser flapping sound pressure when played live I'd imagine.

Really liking the Trá Pháidín track "cé mo dhuine si​ú​l sa hi​-​vis" off this comp - Irish trad meets jazzy post-rock; threw it a nomination for the EOY poll.

I've been listening to some of the tracks the False Lankum songs are based on and Gordon Bok's version of Clear Away In The Morning is so beautiful
