They're mostly just awkward to watch.

"Do you work out?"
"Yeah."
"I CAN TELL."

n/a, Monday, 17 September 2007 18:15 (sixteen years ago) link

I keep trying to post "That's a pretty good mosh" but it won't let me because it's a duplicate.

n/a, Monday, 17 September 2007 18:16 (sixteen years ago) link

So, Friday the 13th got better as it went along and had a decent ending.

Friday the 13th II was not as good and seemed to end quite aburptly, as though they just ran out of funding or something.

It is worth it to see any of the others?

KitCat, Monday, 17 September 2007 18:16 (sixteen years ago) link

that's the thing, maybe it's just me, but I've seen enough faux-low-budget pornspoitation stuff that I keep waiting for the camera man to say, "What would you do for $50?" And that puts me on edge, somehow.

kenan, Monday, 17 September 2007 18:17 (sixteen years ago) link

How on earth am I more impervious to smut than Kenan?!!?

La Lechera, Monday, 17 September 2007 18:17 (sixteen years ago) link

Could be worse, they could be in the back of a van. :(

kenan, Monday, 17 September 2007 18:18 (sixteen years ago) link

You looked at all that bathroom sink buildup and it hardened you.

KitCat, Monday, 17 September 2007 18:18 (sixteen years ago) link

Friday the 13th Part III is worth it if you can see the 3-D version.

Eazy, Monday, 17 September 2007 18:18 (sixteen years ago) link

haha sarah
that must be it

La Lechera, Monday, 17 September 2007 18:19 (sixteen years ago) link

FRIGHTENED RABBIT
Empty Bottle, 10/15, free

(w/ Sharx, right? I am so there. I actually really liked FR.)

dan m, Monday, 17 September 2007 18:21 (sixteen years ago) link

That sounds good, EZ, but HOW?
HEY! This would be a great thing to get our hands on for a theater rental.

KitCat, Monday, 17 September 2007 18:22 (sixteen years ago) link

I'm guessing if we can get a hold of a print that the 3D effects would work with any standard 3D glasses.

Eazy, Monday, 17 September 2007 18:23 (sixteen years ago) link

He may be trying to hard, but he's got the part pretty much spot-on.

big big xpost to Nick

Jesse, Monday, 17 September 2007 18:30 (sixteen years ago) link

Ok. Do we know anyone with access to horror prints?

Speaking of prints, Nick and I liked these prints at Renegade.

KitCat, Monday, 17 September 2007 18:31 (sixteen years ago) link

But we did not buy them :-(

KitCat, Monday, 17 September 2007 18:31 (sixteen years ago) link

jaymc, Monday, 17 September 2007 18:35 (sixteen years ago) link

thx

Jesse, Monday, 17 September 2007 18:36 (sixteen years ago) link

The CK thread actually came from my friend's reaction to a Larry Clark exhibition.

Eazy, Monday, 17 September 2007 18:37 (sixteen years ago) link

Fuck you guys, I had ribs for lunch.

Jordan, Monday, 17 September 2007 18:38 (sixteen years ago) link

Naw fuck you, I'm getting falafel.

Eazy, Monday, 17 September 2007 18:39 (sixteen years ago) link

grr. That last smoke was more stressful than relaxing. I was approached by a drunk bum, explained to him that I didn't have anymore smokes on me, and he asked if he could have the butt when I was finished. "You're just going to stand here while I smoke?" "Well... yeah! What else I got to do?" Good point, Mr. Bum. So I uncomfortably finished the smoke while he talked piles of nonsense for the next three or four minutes, until I gave him the butt, feeling a little defeated.

I did give him some change, though.

kenan, Monday, 17 September 2007 18:40 (sixteen years ago) link

It's very unusual to not be able to brush onf of those guys off. I think he was feeling extra tenacious because he was drunk. He told me so. "I'm really fucked up." I was not at ease.

kenan, Monday, 17 September 2007 18:42 (sixteen years ago) link

I tried to brush off this (not homeless) guy on my way to work today. I just wasn't in the mood to make small talk, so I tried to play the antisocial ipod move combined with a quick, polite nod. DID NOT WORK. He stood right in front of me waving his hands all around so I'd take my earbuds out to talk to him. Blah.

KitCat, Monday, 17 September 2007 18:45 (sixteen years ago) link

My lunch was a total let-down today. I'm so jealous of the falafel. I had a pbj and pretzel nugs.

KitCat, Monday, 17 September 2007 18:46 (sixteen years ago) link

If your company has a messenger-service account, maybe I can send some your way.

Eazy, Monday, 17 September 2007 18:47 (sixteen years ago) link

Someday we will be able to attach falafel to an e-mail.

Jordan, Monday, 17 September 2007 18:52 (sixteen years ago) link

What did the guy want to talk about?

Jesse, Monday, 17 September 2007 18:52 (sixteen years ago) link

I need to eat lunch!!!!

Jesse, Monday, 17 September 2007 18:52 (sixteen years ago) link

I don't know anything about Sharx opening up for Fr1ghtened R@bbit. We opened for them last time they came through town.

n/a, Monday, 17 September 2007 18:54 (sixteen years ago) link

I think I'll go have bulgogi again. It is delicious.

Jesse, Monday, 17 September 2007 18:55 (sixteen years ago) link

They are apparently. It's also their (Sharx) record release.

Jesse, he normally asks me about whatever I'm reading, though lately he's devolved into just talking about how I'm lookin' good.

KitCat, Monday, 17 September 2007 18:55 (sixteen years ago) link

Grr. who is he? on the bus? is that who he is? he is on the bus?

Jesse, Monday, 17 September 2007 18:57 (sixteen years ago) link

He is just a guy who I pass walking to work (walking in the opposite direction).

In other news, I want a huge budget for ORGANIZING our apartment.

KitCat, Monday, 17 September 2007 19:04 (sixteen years ago) link

Like, for shelves and containers and such?

kenan, Monday, 17 September 2007 19:09 (sixteen years ago) link

I need to get to the container store for a couple of those underbed clothes bins. I have way too many clothes.

kenan, Monday, 17 September 2007 19:10 (sixteen years ago) link

Yeah. The guitar room closet is such a mess. And the sad thing is that a while back I spent some monies at c0ntainer store, took everything out of the closet, and put everything back in. But now it looks like hell again. It just isn't practical. There are so many tiny containers, but to get to them you have to be standing partially inside this closet, which is packed and things are falling on your head...

Meanwhile, I also spent monies to organize our old practice space, which burnt down shortly afterwards. (But whatcha gonna do about that?)

And I can't find any of our spices when I need them, though I realize we should just toss some of them.

KitCat, Monday, 17 September 2007 19:12 (sixteen years ago) link

I'm so weird that I'm excited about getting home today and organzing something.

KitCat, Monday, 17 September 2007 19:17 (sixteen years ago) link

that's not weird! I don't get that bug often enough, but when I do, I know not to waste it.

kenan, Monday, 17 September 2007 19:20 (sixteen years ago) link

My Tortoise channel on Pandora is perfect for working.

Jordan, Monday, 17 September 2007 19:21 (sixteen years ago) link

I got the cleaning urge last week and then picked up a bottle of wine on the way home from work and didn't quite get around to cleaning. All I want to do when I get home from work today is pass out.

Lucy, Monday, 17 September 2007 19:28 (sixteen years ago) link

jesse: http://www.palm.com/us/support/outlooksupport.html

can be easy or hard, depending on the device. i used the chapura thing before and it worked well.

colette, Monday, 17 September 2007 19:32 (sixteen years ago) link

So, I'm looking around on Real S1mple for organizing/decluttering inspiration and check out this advice from a reader:
Just Do Less
I got rid of my husband, hired a fabulous nanny and let her run my house, began buying in bulk, got to know my daughter's teachers, did not join the Junior League, got a personal trainer, and found a contractor and landscaper who were very good and trustworthy. I let go of a lot of stuff, and I realized I didn't have to do everything, just a couple of key things really well.

She got rid of her husband??

KitCat, Monday, 17 September 2007 19:34 (sixteen years ago) link

I should start packing this week, but I'm not looking forward to it.

jaymc, Monday, 17 September 2007 19:35 (sixteen years ago) link

That's dedication to simplification!

Laurel, Monday, 17 September 2007 19:35 (sixteen years ago) link

Bbut John, you have so much to look forward to! It's a fun move.

KitCat, Monday, 17 September 2007 19:36 (sixteen years ago) link

Are you getting any movers for the couch?

KitCat, Monday, 17 September 2007 19:37 (sixteen years ago) link

The nanny, personal trainer, contractor and landscaper sound like additions to me, not subtractions.

kenan, Monday, 17 September 2007 19:38 (sixteen years ago) link

I'm looking forward to having moved and being in a new apartment, but I'm not looking forward to finding movers, scrounging for boxes, packing up boxes, and any of the other dull, laborious tasks associated with moving. Especially since Kr is gone this week.

jaymc, Monday, 17 September 2007 19:38 (sixteen years ago) link

You can get your boxes here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nAJXki87vgw

(repost, but I luv it)
