As I said upthread, these expanded reissues were revelatory for me---also there's a press release about the last album, incl. in this flash sale:

n 1991, former Pandoras members Kim Shattuck and Melanie Vammen joined forces with Criss Crass and Ronnie Barnett to become The Muffs, and after a few independent releases, their self-titled debut appeared on Warner Bros. Records in 1993. A few founding member shake ups—Crass left the band and Roy McDonald joined and Vammem also departed—left the trio to carry on, releasing some of the most important rock/alternative music of the '90s and beyond, until Kim’s tragic passing in 2019.

Omnivore Recordings expanded their catalog, even issuing their final album with the blessing and trust of the band. From Wednesday, October 18 through Saturday, October 21, you can discover or complete your collection of this groundbreaking, alt-rock staple for an incredible 50% off. That’s half off all available CDs and LPs.

Titles are limited to stock on hand, and there are no rainchecks or back orders, so be sure to shop soon. Please don’t add pre-orders to your cart, as that will delay your shipment, and you will miss out on the incredible discount.

Don’t have a sad tomorrow—be really, really happy and take 50% off available Muffs titles from Tuesday, October 18 through Saturday, October 21 only.

Please note, the prices you'll see in the webstore will have the discount already applied to them.

I was surprised to see Shattuck (and Weird Al!) in an old Ramones video -- I didn't realize how big the Pandoras were.

Yeah, I just noticed that not long ago! I didn't actually recognize her at first, but her name jumped right out when I paused on the signature page to try to identify someone else* in the video. She is truly the John Hancock of 80's punk.

*I eventually learned that the person I was trying to ID was Stephan Ielpi from False Prophets.

One of their songs was in an episode of what's new scooby doo. Only thing I know aboutv them.

I wish Omnivore could get the rights to the other two albums. All of the reissues are u & k, but don't miss Happy Birthday To Me which became my fave just because of the reissue
