Fellas, which actress makes you swoon and you want to marry her so that you don't care how bad the movie is?

Oh wait no, Tracer started an "in praise of Ashley Judd" thread. I feel like someone had a story somewhere about a restaurant and Ashley Judd being terrible.

nabisco, Friday, 7 August 2009 20:27 (fourteen years ago) link

No, I think you must be mistaken. I refuse to believe that's possible.

ENBB, Friday, 7 August 2009 20:28 (fourteen years ago) link

xxpost not the lead but she's the only "good" thing about Gone Baby Gone, and even then her character is such a ridiculously over the top caricature of course she was nominated for it. She totally deserves better though

Charlize Theron. I can't objectively judge anything she's in.

Adam Bruneau, Friday, 7 August 2009 20:52 (fourteen years ago) link

Michelle Monaghan. Except for those dreadful romcoms she sometimes appears in.

The only thing I've seen her in was The Happening & while she was highly watchable, the film belonged to Marky Mark.

Sarah Polley and Molly Parker (I seem to have a weakness for ginger Canadians). Two extraordinary actors that have always pulled way more weight than than their roles sometimes require.

BUT I would like to mention that I watched like 30 minutes of a movie called One-Eyed Monster because it starred Amber Benson from Buffy.

Amber Benson? Really? But I guess I shouldn't judge because I did end up watching Piñata: Survival Island on AMC one night at some ungodly hour with Nicholas Brendon. I think I probably would have watched it without any Buffy involvement because of the premise of a demonic piñata.

molly parker ... i used to hate the affectation she brings to nearly every role. i still have problems with it, but i guess i can reluctantly admire it.
