Really glad I no longer live in a basement in Park Slope. Hope everyone's ok.

Yeah I was thinking about the basement apartment dwellers especially in the areas where the water rise was over the sidewalk level

It’s especially bad considering how many basement apts are illegal and how many are the homes for undocumented people.

I walked around in wb/gp today and the aftermath seems blessedly less terrible than I expected

Plumber has been trying to diagnose a long-standing leak over here, punched a hole in our wall just in time for this storm and now there is some kind of spray behind the plastic they put up over the hole which is leaking slowly onto the floor, feels like maybe is something draining from the roof.
