So I've kept in contact with "Luna" over the year yada yada. Tonight, her "ex" husband got into her Words W/Friends chats, including between me and her. He's never been divorced, or even separated from her. She swindled [another guy] to give her 50-75k. She would do nothing but talk shit about him to me, and I'd keep asking her well then why do you still talk to him? Guess I know now. Fuuuuuuucked up people out there man.

she apologized to me and poured her heart out about all her issues, and them stemming from abuse (which her husband says is true). i kept my emotional distance but remained in polite contact. until now.

afaik no one ever met her. That was the big red flag.

We'd be talking and she'd make it sound like he was with her but he might not've been. So many things didn't add up though she was VERY good at providing a plausible story. I've been angry with myself for a long time because I figured her out and then later found she was taking advantage of people from here. Unforgivable.

Another ex ilxor had got caught up with her shit and every time a meeting got planned she'd "done her knee skiing" or whatever, and in the end he realised it was just a mess. Like, I feel bad I defended her when I did, and though I still dont approve of the way it was all outed, I do concede it turned out to be a massive knot of wtf.

I'm reminded of that bizzarre story about the woman who got tricked into thinking she was having an amazing online affair with some firefighter dude with issues who turned out to be a fat middle aged cat lady with MASSIVE issues. I forget the details now but man, that was insane.

Should I interpret this that her husband knew about her swindling people and pretending to be their "girlfriend", even though they're still living together? How does he feel about it?

Eh, once the truth came out, I don't think anyone was "protecting" Luna. Some of us were protesting against Chaki's comments at first, because at the time it felt like he was just doing a personal attack against Luna, but when other, less hot-headed posters started revealing more info about this whole case, there wasn't anyone protecting her anymore. And Luna herself had already stopped posting by then.
