the blazers have deep scars from the jail blazer era that would never let them trade dame for ja

more difficult than I look (Aimless), Saturday, 1 July 2023 18:41 (ten months ago) link

yeah prob true, good opportunity to buy low tho

lag∞n, Saturday, 1 July 2023 18:42 (ten months ago) link

if the pellies offer that much its a steal and they should make the deal at once. if zion is playable, he can still be a huge force. if he's cooked he can apply for an injury retirement and open a ton of cap space.

more difficult than I look (Aimless), Saturday, 1 July 2023 18:48 (ten months ago) link

not sure why the blazers would want ja and mini-ja on the same team tho

k3vin k., Saturday, 1 July 2023 18:49 (ten months ago) link

reflecting upon it its pretty funny that dame is trying to play off going to a team that just made the finals with jimmy and bam thats in a top 2 desirable nba city as not a superteam

RFA Austin Reaves has agreed to return to the Los Angeles Lakers on a four-year, $56 million Early Bird maximum contract, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Agents Aaron Reilly and Reggie Berry of AMR Agency negotiated the new deal to keep Reaves in L.A. long term.

Fair deal

nobody respects the chair (Spottie), Saturday, 1 July 2023 19:05 (ten months ago) link

yeah solid, kinda scary the lakers making all these good small moves over the last six months

lag∞n, Saturday, 1 July 2023 19:13 (ten months ago) link

rly mad no one threw a big offer at him, thats a very very good deal for the lakers.

slai gorgeous-alexander (m bison), Saturday, 1 July 2023 19:20 (ten months ago) link

That team is looking good sadly

nobody respects the chair (Spottie), Saturday, 1 July 2023 20:00 (ten months ago) link

yeah lakers should be back in the mix if flawed again, still relying a lot on a 38-year-old (what the fuck man) bron, but this iteration of the team seemed to mesh well quickly

slai gorgeous-alexander (m bison), Saturday, 1 July 2023 20:17 (ten months ago) link

Basically kept all the main rotation guys and added taurean and Vincent

nobody respects the chair (Spottie), Saturday, 1 July 2023 20:30 (ten months ago) link

and jaxson hayes (derogatory)

slai gorgeous-alexander (m bison), Saturday, 1 July 2023 20:31 (ten months ago) link

They do need a brow injury contingency plan for sure

nobody respects the chair (Spottie), Saturday, 1 July 2023 20:38 (ten months ago) link

Front offices talking to Portland today were left with impression that GM Joe Cronin is pursuing a star-level return package for Damian Lillard – and that Cronin plans to look well beyond the Miami Heat to find one. https://t.co/9NWtJN9JLm

4/80 for Dillion brooks to the rockets is hilarious

nobody respects the chair (Spottie), Saturday, 1 July 2023 22:26 (ten months ago) link

5/260 lamelo extension. Maybe he should probably play idk just a thought

nobody respects the chair (Spottie), Saturday, 1 July 2023 22:27 (ten months ago) link

im still a lamelo believer but yeah playing is essential

lag∞n, Saturday, 1 July 2023 22:29 (ten months ago) link

4/80 for Dillion brooks to the rockets is hilarious

― nobody respects the chair (Spottie), Saturday, July 1, 2023 6:26 PM (three minutes ago) bookmarkflaglink

just awful lol

lag∞n, Saturday, 1 July 2023 22:30 (ten months ago) link

Rockets continue to add 40% chuckers.

Poor sengun gonna have no room to work

nobody respects the chair (Spottie), Saturday, 1 July 2023 22:32 (ten months ago) link

Like who were they bidding against in these deals

nobody respects the chair (Spottie), Saturday, 1 July 2023 22:33 (ten months ago) link

they needed to sign someone to hit the salary floor but why give dillion brooks a 4 year deal hes not good

lag∞n, Saturday, 1 July 2023 22:34 (ten months ago) link

2/40 if you have to.

Russ 2/8 clippers he musta really wanted to stay

nobody respects the chair (Spottie), Saturday, 1 July 2023 22:41 (ten months ago) link

brooks deal structured as descending which is good i guess

call all destroyer, Saturday, 1 July 2023 22:42 (ten months ago) link

russ prob smart just to stay where its going well for him at this point

lag∞n, Saturday, 1 July 2023 23:04 (ten months ago) link

Yah home town too. Prob wants to finish up there

nobody respects the chair (Spottie), Saturday, 1 July 2023 23:13 (ten months ago) link

bron's probably going to enjoy embarrassing the rockets this season

more difficult than I look (Aimless), Saturday, 1 July 2023 23:22 (ten months ago) link

of all teams to give brooks 4/80 the rockets feel least offensive to me insofar as they’re not gonna be in the playoffs anyway, only have offensive players and could use a guy like him, and they have cap space money to burn

and on a descending contract if he stays out of the headlines for a year or two it will be tradable i imagine

J0rdan S., Saturday, 1 July 2023 23:28 (ten months ago) link

White Donte 4/50 Knicks

nobody respects the chair (Spottie), Sunday, 2 July 2023 00:00 (ten months ago) link

has there been a ruling yet on whether he’s good

J0rdan S., Sunday, 2 July 2023 00:03 (ten months ago) link

Reaves deal is sus as hell

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 2 July 2023 00:07 (ten months ago) link

i don’t get that at all for the knicks. they have a bunch of guys who play the 2 and 3 already.

call all destroyer, Sunday, 2 July 2023 00:11 (ten months ago) link

hes the most knicks fan looking nba player so they had to get him

lag∞n, Sunday, 2 July 2023 00:19 (ten months ago) link

Donte is good imo, a Bruce Brown type when he’s at his best. Good rebounder for his size, above avg shooter, smart, really bad finisher.

nobody respects the chair (Spottie), Sunday, 2 July 2023 00:20 (ten months ago) link

Also he’s a good defensive player

nobody respects the chair (Spottie), Sunday, 2 July 2023 00:24 (ten months ago) link

Who? 🙄

— Jalen Brunson (@jalenbrunson1) July 2, 2023

i think bruce is a lot better with the ball in his hands… donte strikes me as a josh hart type yeah

J0rdan S., Sunday, 2 July 2023 00:40 (ten months ago) link

Haha those three sarcastic wildcats gonna have a good time together

nobody respects the chair (Spottie), Sunday, 2 July 2023 00:41 (ten months ago) link

https://stathead.com/tiny/F5SBA

Brown way more of a guy trying to get to his floater and put backs, Donte more perimeter and off ball movement cutter.

nobody respects the chair (Spottie), Sunday, 2 July 2023 00:43 (ten months ago) link

The Lakers are incredibly deep.

C: Anthony Davis, Jaxson Hayes
PF: Rui Hachimura, Jarred Vanderbilt
SF: LeBron James, Taurean Prince
SG: Austin Reaves (RFA), Cam Reddish, Max Christie
PG: D’Angelo Russell, Gabe Vincent, Jalen Hood-Schifino

A West Finals team got better overall. https://t.co/uKVxViBi1C

— Kevin O'Connor (@KevinOConnorNBA) July 1, 2023

This is a great price. The Los Angeles Lakers won the week. They have a real chance to get their 13th title now. https://t.co/U9ucLjxGnb

— Bill Simmons (@BillSimmons) July 1, 2023

i find this notion completely ridiculous. d lo stinks, vincent has to prove he can play outside miami, hood schifino is a rookie, cam reddish has not ever been an NBA player, taurean prince is a fringe rotation guy, the rui contract is absurd, vanderbilt can’t play in the playoffs, jaxson hayes is a fringe rotation player. the reaves contract was nice. i’ll take the under and big time on the lakers returning to the west finals

J0rdan S., Sunday, 2 July 2023 05:57 (ten months ago) link

i feel like KOC is the kinda person who would get scammed out of thousands of dollars by a woman he met at a bar

J0rdan S., Sunday, 2 July 2023 05:58 (ten months ago) link

i think they are better than they were at the start of last year. dlo stinks less than westbrook did, and reaves will be playing more. the rest of the depth guys are whatever, i wouldnt book them in the 3rd round but i could see top 6 seed in the west easy.

slai gorgeous-alexander (m bison), Sunday, 2 July 2023 06:03 (ten months ago) link

to me as far as the regular season goes there is denver and then there is memphis and prob sacramento and after that it’s a bunch of teams that could finish between 3 and 10 in practically any order. the lakers two best players don’t play in like half the games

J0rdan S., Sunday, 2 July 2023 06:12 (ten months ago) link

4 and 10* tho i wouldn’t exactly book sacramento in as the 3 seed but they feel like the third safest best to be in the top 6

J0rdan S., Sunday, 2 July 2023 06:15 (ten months ago) link

Ja is going to miss 25 games I don’t know about a 2 seed from them

nobody respects the chair (Spottie), Sunday, 2 July 2023 07:23 (ten months ago) link

Lakers have good reg season depth to help keep them afloat, something they didn’t start the year out w last year. Jaxson Hayes as your only backup big behind brow is a massive risk

nobody respects the chair (Spottie), Sunday, 2 July 2023 07:24 (ten months ago) link

I was expecting a quiet free agent season from the Thunder, but bringing Vasilije Micić over is interesting. It's been rumoured every year around this time. Helps them to look like a deep squad, although Holmgren seems a long way ahead of any other center option they have.

aphoristical, Sunday, 2 July 2023 07:56 (ten months ago) link

jeff green signing with the rockets is the first good nuggets news in free agency so far
