Love the way that whichever poor label intern had to come up with this shite couldn't be arsed to fix the piss-poor grammar the band had supplied for the track by track rundown.

What are the members of Hurricane #1 listening to when it comes to current music out there?

Chris – Crowded House for me, just now…..loved them then and I love them now. Also, a band called Television.

Alex – I love the big guns………real musicians. Black Sabbath, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Johnny Cash. Old school, you can’t beat it!

Stuart – I’m really digging Greta Van Fleet at the moment. Ace band, along with Zero 7

Jon – Bob Seger, Pearl Jam……..old school rock

Stuart not really on the same page here.

Hah when I saw the H#1 link posted originally I was thinking 'do I ask if this is the band with the racist lead singer or is that actually Heavy Stereo or someone?'

you can see me from westbury white horse, Wednesday, 21 June 2023 09:52 (ten months ago) link

rest assured every band in this thread has a racist lead singer

Changing Scene had nailed this vibe years before Britpop.

can't find any other reference to Changing Scene on the internet except for a listing in the June 9th 1975 edition of the Hull Daily Mail, they were appearing at Ocean that night

Well that proves they existed, it did have the look of a fake about it.

If it’s a fake it’s fantastic. Kudos to whoever thought to have a drumming ventriloquist.

maybe someone is going through old copies of the Hull Daily Mail and using the band names from the listings page in their fake promos? Hope they do The Sensational WHIYZZ KIDZ next

Do labels even need interns anymore? Cause their blurb reads exactly like something ChatGPT would spit out

Vinnie, Thursday, 6 July 2023 00:44 (nine months ago) link

so the singer from Hurricane #1 is an actual nazi. i remember the name, but couldn't remember what song they did so i googled. oh yeahhh, they didn't have a hit song, they were a momentary blip on the radar because the guitarist from Ride was involved. they disappeared fast because even the most ardent Ride stans lost interest the instant they heard a note of the music. they must be bored, hardly think any fans were clamoring for a reunion. god, did they ever suck.

Colchester rock band Koopa have made chart history by becoming the first unsigned act to enter the UK Top 40; Their new single Blag, Steal & Borrow debuted at number 31. How have they managed it? Through downloads. (2007)

lol this is the end of their wikipedia entry

2010: Koopa return
After spending time away, the band have announced they will be making a return in late 2010, having had a very deliberate six months or so "out of the loop", and after working and touring solidly for eight years. Joe Murphy said: "We've been out of the loop by choice. When you gig for so long, it gets a bit samey, so we took a bit of a break after the last few tours."[citation needed]

The band announced that their break was taken to develop a slightly new sound and new songs.

this is the most 2000s looking band I've ever seen, like a fictional band in a tv show set in in 2004 that they add as a period detail to remind that it's 2004

We need Noel and Ian Brown to form a revenge supergroup now. Perhaps Boaby could play tambourine in both?

The only time I saw P Scream live, c.1986, they had a dedicated tambourine player, who wore black leather gloves. Bobby a stickler for the health and safety of his bandmates back then.
