The bill also included two female-fronted acts, Baltimore’s Jivebomb and Scowl, from Santa Cruz, Calif.; Australia’s Speed, featuring members of Asian descent; Colombia’s Raw Brigade; and Regulate, whose Colombia-born frontman, Sebastian Paba, grappled with Eurocentric beauty standards on the 2022 track “Hair.”

this year I've seen "retirement tours (except they are still going to do festivals)" by UK Subs and Cockney Rejects, matinee gigs for the old folks by Rubella Ballet, Chaotic Dischord and Disorder, and some gigs by people who can't collect their pension yet by Bad Breeding, Scowl, Flash, Rat Cage, Sniffany & the Nits, Alien Nosejob, the Spits/Private Function and Powerplant.

next week I'm seeing TSOL and Toxic Reasons, and possibly Gang Green, but there is industrial action on the trains so not sure if I can actually get there.

good local live band I've seen recently but don't think they've released anything is Electric Cowboy Club, kind of demented Cramps type thing where the singer will crawl around the floor in the audience. they supported the Exploited here a few months ago, and I spoke to their singer recently and he said Wattie came up to him and said he doesn't usually watch support bands but he really liked them lol

Really like this new Collate record. I was a fan already but a new full length was really welcome as I just had a 7" in house. Very economical and specific in sound, but I think they do it very well:

I got a huge haul in from La Vida Es Un Mus this week and can confirm that Sial - Sangkar 7" sounds even better on vinyl and is an absolute banger of a record.

I saw Alien Nosejob a few months ago but I looked them up and they are from NSW. possibly that law exists across states

I am from Sydney and I perceive Alien Nosejob to be Melbonic but perhaps they are somewhere geographically in-between

Anyway check out Exit Mould from Newcastle NSW and I don’t know if anyone has mentioned Sydney’s Negative Gears in this thread but they rule
