i want to like this a little more than i do, this industrial sound is a good fit for her but the song's just missing something?

curious what the album’s gonna be like (comes out in october)

the press release made it sound like it'll generally be along the lines of this & "church outfit" but some of it will have guitars on top of the industrial beats too

it also compares one track to 'mirwais-era madonna' which i have no idea how will fit with the rest of the stuff going on and cites burial, blawan, and a whole bunch of new wave as influences

record's getting not much of a reception but as usual i think it's great. the dnb drum track in this is so good

this feels like the electro record i was expecting kylie minogue to put out this year

"the attic" is the exact same vibe as this great batten girls track

weird album, it's pretty all over the place stylistically. some of it is great but a lot is just ok at best

highlights are "linger" (the burial impression here lol), "the attic" and "prove it"

I just made this my first Poppy album. I really don't like her voice tbh. Good musical ideas though - esp Church Outfit, Hard and Zig.
